Quick Verdict
Checked against the broker's own website and the regulators' public registers.

Fusion Markets is built around one idea: charge traders less. The Zero account costs $4.50 per round-turn lot in commission, well below the $6 to $7 most raw-spread brokers ask, and there is no minimum deposit at all. Founder Phil Horner started the firm in Melbourne in January 2019, and by its five-year mark it reported trading more than $130 billion in volume a month.

Platform choice is strong too. You get MT4, MT5, cTrader and TradingView, plus copy trading through Fusion+ and DupliTrade, and withdrawals carry no fee. Fusion says 85% of withdrawal requests are processed in under an hour.

The weak spots are regulation and range. International clients sit with Fusion's Seychelles and Vanuatu companies, which are lighter licences than the ASIC one that covers Australians. The product list, at about 250 instruments, is modest, and India's central bank added Fusion Markets to its alert list in November 2025.

Best for: cost-sensitive forex and gold traders, scalpers and algo traders outside India who want low commissions and a choice of platforms.
Not ideal for: traders who want a top-tier licence on their own account, bonus seekers, and anyone after a large share CFD catalogue.

Regulation and Safety20% weight
Regulation & Safety accounts for 20% of the total FX Recap score. Every figure is checked against the broker's own website and the regulators' public registers.

Fusion Markets runs through two companies for international clients and an Australian business for local clients.

EntityRegulatorLicence / numberWho it serves
Fusion Markets InternationalFSA (Seychelles)Securities Dealer SD096International clients
Gleneagle Securities Pty Limited (t/a Fusion Markets)VFSC (Vanuatu)Company 40256International clients
Fusion Markets (Australia)ASIC385620 (as listed on Fusion's site)Australian clients

Client money is held in segregated client trust accounts with National Australia Bank, one of Australia's four largest banks. Retail clients have negative balance protection, so a sudden gap cannot push the account below zero.

What you do not get offshore is a compensation scheme like the UK's FSCS or the EU's investor fund. If Fusion's Seychelles or Vanuatu company failed, segregation is the main protection. That is common for low-cost brokers, but it is a reason to keep balances modest.

The RBI alert list

The Reserve Bank of India's alert list of firms not authorised to deal in forex for Indian residents added Fusion Markets (fusionmarkets.com) at entry 92 in its update of 19 November 2025. Indian residents may only trade forex through authorised persons on recognised Indian exchanges. Read our guide on whether forex trading is legal in India before signing up with any offshore broker.

Fusion also does not accept clients from Afghanistan, Congo, Iran, Iraq, Japan, Myanmar, New Zealand, North Korea, Ontario, Palestine, Russia, Spain, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Ukraine, Yemen or the United States.

You can switch between Zero and Classic by emailing [email protected]. Base currencies include AUD, CAD, EUR, GBP, JPY, SGD, THB and USD, and Fusion has added NOK, SEK, CZK, HUF, CHF and DKK. Fusion Pro serves professional clients, and an invitation-only Premium Program gives high-volume traders a personal manager and commission rebates starting at 15.11%.

Which Account Type Suits You?9% weight
Account Types accounts for 9% of the total FX Recap score. Every figure is checked against the broker's own website and the regulators' public registers.

For almost anyone placing more than a few trades a week, Zero is the cheaper account. Fusion itself puts the total cost of a EUR/USD trade at about 0.5 pips on Zero against 0.9 pips on Classic. On one standard lot that is roughly $5 against $9.

Classic suits newer traders who want to see a single price on the chart and do not want to work out commission per trade. Fusion's tip is simple: to estimate a Classic spread, add 0.9 to the Zero spread shown in its product list.

The Swap-Free account is for traders whose religious beliefs rule out paying or receiving swaps. Instead of a nightly swap you pay a flat admin fee per lot, but only once every 7 days a position stays open, so trades closed within a week cost nothing extra.

How to Open a Fusion Markets Account (Step by Step)8% weight
Account Opening accounts for 8% of the total FX Recap score. Every figure is checked against the broker's own website and the regulators' public registers.

Opening a Fusion Markets account takes a few minutes online. There is no minimum deposit, so you can fund it with whatever amount you plan to trade.

Spreads and Commission13% weight
Commissions & Fees accounts for 13% of the total FX Recap score. Every figure is checked against the broker's own website and the regulators' public registers.

Fusion's Zero account charges $2.25 per standard lot per side, or $4.50 round turn; a mini lot costs $0.45. Classic has no commission and builds the cost into the spread.

Fusion publishes average spreads for each instrument. Its table for 1 to 5 June 2026 showed average Zero-account spreads of 0.01 pips on EUR/USD and AUD/USD, 0.04 on USD/JPY and 0.05 on GBP/USD. Those figures change with market conditions, so use its live spreads tool before you trade.

Crypto and energy CFDs trade without commission, and so do Fusion's US share CFDs on MT5. Our pip calculator turns any spread into a dollar cost.

Non-Trading Fees13% weight
Commissions & Fees accounts for 13% of the total FX Recap score. Every figure is checked against the broker's own website and the regulators' public registers.

Deposits and withdrawals are free on Fusion's side. Your bank or wallet provider may still charge fees, and currency conversion costs apply if you fund in a different currency from your account.

The Seychelles client agreement allows an inactivity fee of up to $10, charged annually if there are no transactions for 12 months. Log in and trade occasionally, or empty the account, to avoid it.

Leverage
Checked against the broker's own website and the regulators' public registers.

International clients can request leverage up to 1:500 on forex, subject to Fusion's approval of their suitability. Gold and commodity CFDs can also reach 1:500. Australian retail clients under ASIC are capped at 1:30 on major pairs, and crypto CFDs carry much lower leverage.

Leverage only changes the margin you put up, not your risk per trade. Size each position from your stop loss with our position size calculator, and remember that 1:500 lets a small account lose fast.

Tradable Instruments7% weight
Trading Instruments accounts for 7% of the total FX Recap score. Every figure is checked against the broker's own website and the regulators' public registers.

In total Fusion lists more than 250 instruments. That covers what most forex and gold traders need, but share traders will find far more choice at brokers with thousands of stock CFDs.

Trading Platforms and Tools12.5% weight
Trading Platforms accounts for 12.5% of the total FX Recap score. Every figure is checked against the broker's own website and the regulators' public registers.

Fusion's platform list is one of its strengths:

  • MetaTrader 4 and 5: desktop, web and mobile, with full EA support.
  • cTrader: desktop, web and mobile, popular with manual scalpers.
  • TradingView: desktop and mobile, with free TradingView plans for active traders.
  • Multi Account Manager: for money managers running several accounts.

Clients who trade more than 20 lots of FX or metals in 30 days get a sponsored VPS free, either an NYC Servers VPS for MT4, TradingView and cTrader or a MetaQuotes VPS for MT5. Fusion debits the fee upfront and refunds it when you hit the volume. Others get 25% off NYC Servers plans.

Free TradingView subscription

Trade 2, 6 or 12 lots of FX or metals in a calendar month on a Fusion TradingView account and you get TradingView Essential, Plus or Premium free for the next month.

Mobile Trading Apps3% weight
Mobile Apps accounts for 3% of the total FX Recap score. Every figure is checked against the broker's own website and the regulators' public registers.

Fusion relies on platform apps rather than a single branded trading app: MT4, MT5, cTrader and TradingView all have iOS and Android versions that connect to your Fusion account. Deposits, withdrawals and account settings sit in the Fusion Hub.

Copy Trading
Checked against the broker's own website and the regulators' public registers.

Fusion+ is Fusion's own copy trading service. Approved money managers have their trades copied into followers' accounts and can charge a performance fee of up to 30%. The service is free as long as both the manager and the follower trade at least 2.5 lots of FX or metals a month; below that, Fusion charges $10 a month to cover hosting.

DupliTrade is also available for copying established strategy providers. As with any copy service, check the provider's drawdown history before risking money.

Deposits and Withdrawals10% weight
Deposit & Withdrawal accounts for 10% of the total FX Recap score. Every figure is checked against the broker's own website and the regulators' public registers.

Fusion offers more than 30 funding options, depending on your country, and charges nothing for any of them.

Withdrawals are available 24/7 and Fusion says 85% are processed in under an hour, measured to the end of its own processing; your bank or wallet may take longer. Money only goes to accounts in your own name.

Ken, 30, from Davao, is our illustrative example. He funds $150 through Skrill, trades the Zero account for two weeks and withdraws $120 back to Skrill on a Saturday. Because Fusion processes withdrawals around the clock and charges nothing, the money can be in his wallet the same day.

Bonuses and Promotions
Checked against the broker's own website and the regulators' public registers.

Fusion does not offer deposit bonuses; it puts the value into low commissions instead. The offers it does run are practical ones:

  • Refer a Friend: up to $500 per referral split between you and your friend, or a commission reduction of up to 15% per lot.
  • Free TradingView plans for 2, 6 or 12 lots a month.
  • Sponsored VPS for 20+ lots in 30 days.
  • Premium Program rebates from 15.11% for invited high-volume traders.

Education and Research
Checked against the broker's own website and the regulators' public registers.

Fusion Academy is a free, structured education platform for clients, and the Fusion blog publishes weekly market previews, FOMC and CPI notes and trading psychology pieces. It also runs a weekly Week Ahead webinar, plus trading calculators and an economic calendar.

Customer Support2.5% weight
Customer Support accounts for 2.5% of the total FX Recap score. Every figure is checked against the broker's own website and the regulators' public registers.

Support is available 24/7 through live chat and email at [email protected]. Fusion's offices are in Port Vila, Vanuatu, and Providence, Seychelles, with the team that founded it based in Melbourne.

Execution and Trading Conditions
Checked against the broker's own website and the regulators' public registers.

Fusion runs a no-dealing-desk model and allows every trading style on both main accounts: scalping, hedging and expert advisors. Its Classic account lists New York as the server location, which helps traders who use a nearby VPS keep latency low.

One rule is worth knowing for share traders. Around company earnings, which are usually released while the market is closed, Fusion may switch some US share CFDs to close-only to limit the risk of negative balances. If you hold stocks into earnings, check the symbol status first.

Fusion also publishes minimum, maximum and average spreads for the past month through its spreads tool, which makes it easier than usual to check that the advertised pricing matches what traders get.

What a Month of Trading Costs at Fusion Markets
Checked against the broker's own website and the regulators' public registers.

Take a trader who places 40 trades a month at 0.5 lots on EUR/USD, 20 lots in total, and compare Fusion's Zero account with a broker charging the more common $7 round-turn commission.

Cost itemFusion ZeroTypical raw brokerFusion Classic
Spread (example)0.1 pips x 20 lots = $200.1 pips x 20 lots = $200.9 pips x 20 lots = $180
Commission$4.50 x 20 = $90$7 x 20 = $140$0
Monthly totalAbout $110About $160About $180

The $50 a month saved against a typical raw-spread broker adds up to $600 a year for a modest trader, and much more for a busy one. That saving is the main reason to choose Fusion.

Fusion Markets for Traders in Asia
Checked against the broker's own website and the regulators' public registers.

Fusion's setup suits much of Southeast Asia. Base currencies include SGD, JPY and THB alongside USD, and local bank transfer withdrawals are available in THB, IDR, VND, MYR and CNY, typically within one to two business days with a $10 minimum.

Local rules still come first. Indian residents are covered by the RBI alert list, and every country in the region treats offshore forex differently; our Asian broker guide explains the position country by country.

Is Fusion Markets Good for Beginners?
Checked against the broker's own website and the regulators' public registers.

Fusion is accessible for beginners: no minimum deposit, a free demo, Fusion Academy and 24/7 support. The Classic account keeps costs in one number on the chart, which makes early trades easier to follow.

It is less of a hand-holding broker than some. There is no cent account and no bonus to cushion early losses, which is arguably healthier. Start on the demo, move to Classic with a small balance, and switch to Zero once you trade often enough for the commission saving to matter.

Common Problems and How to Avoid Them
Checked against the broker's own website and the regulators' public registers.

  • Withdrawal returned: Fusion only pays accounts in your registered name, so use your own bank or wallet.
  • Swap-free fees surprise: the admin fee is charged per lot once every 7 days, and it is $150 per lot on USD/JPY, so check the table before holding for weeks.
  • Annual fee on an idle account: after 12 months with no transactions, up to $10 a year may be charged.
  • Account blocked at sign-up: Fusion does not accept residents of the countries on its restricted list, including the US, Japan, New Zealand and Spain.

How to Withdraw From Fusion Markets (Step by Step)
Checked against the broker's own website and the regulators' public registers.

  1. Log in to the Fusion Hub. Open the Withdrawal section from the menu.
  2. Choose a method. The list shows the options for your country, with minimums and processing times.
  3. Enter the amount and details. The receiving account must be in your own registered name.
  4. Submit. Requests are accepted 24/7 and Fusion says most are processed in under an hour, with no fee.

E-wallets and crypto arrive almost immediately once processed. Local bank transfers take one to two business days and international wires three to five.

Trading on TradingView With Fusion Markets
Checked against the broker's own website and the regulators' public registers.

Fusion connects to TradingView directly: open a Fusion TradingView account, choose Fusion Markets from TradingView's broker list, enter your details and trade from the charts. More than 150 instruments are available on TradingView, a smaller set than on MT5, which carries the US share CFDs.

The free subscription offer is generous for active traders. Trading 2 lots of FX or metals in a calendar month earns TradingView Essential, 6 lots earns Plus and 12 lots earns Premium, which adds features such as second-based intervals, volume footprint charts and alerts that never expire.

Premium Program and Fusion Pro
Checked against the broker's own website and the regulators' public registers.

High-volume traders can be invited into Fusion's Premium Program, which offers four tiers (Bronze, Silver, Gold and Diamond). Members get a dedicated Premium Client Manager, commission rebates starting at 15.11%, premium VPS and tools, gifts and invitations to events.

Partners who refer clients get higher IB rebates and premium Refer a Friend bonuses through the same programme. Professional traders who qualify can apply for Fusion Pro; read its terms carefully before switching, because professional status changes how you are treated.

Cheaper Ways to Fund Your Account
Checked against the broker's own website and the regulators' public registers.

Fusion charges nothing for deposits, so the real cost is conversion. Its bank deposit option accepts more than 30 currencies and converts them at interbank-style FX rates, which can beat a high-street bank's exchange margin. Australian clients can deposit instantly with PayID from 1 AUD, and Canadians can use Interac.

Funding in the same currency as your account base avoids conversion entirely. With base currencies from AUD and USD to THB, JPY, SGD and the newer NOK, SEK, CZK, HUF, CHF and DKK, many traders can open an account in their home currency.

Final Verdict
Checked against the broker's own website and the regulators' public registers.

Fusion Markets delivers what it promises: some of the lowest trading costs available, no minimum deposit, four serious platforms and fast, free withdrawals. For a forex or gold trader focused on cost, it is hard to beat.

Go in with your eyes open on regulation. Offshore clients have segregation and negative balance protection but no compensation scheme, and Indian residents are on the wrong side of the RBI alert list. If those points do not apply to you, Fusion is one of the strongest low-cost choices on our list.
