Fusion Markets minimum deposit by method, in USD.

Fusion Markets minimum deposit by method, in USD.

Fusion Markets has no minimum account size on either the Zero or the Classic account. You can open a live account and leave it empty. The only floor is the one set by each payment method, and for cards, PayPal, Skrill, Neteller, crypto and bank wire that floor is 10 USD. Two methods go lower: PayID starts at 1 AUD and Pix at 1 USD.

The broker charges nothing on any deposit method. Its own FAQ adds a useful reality check: most clients start with $1,500 or more. Nobody is forced to match that, but it tells you a $10 balance is a test, not a trading account.

Those rows come from the broker's deposit page, which filters methods by country. Your Client Hub shows only what is offered where you live, so the list you see may be shorter. Jetonbank, MiFinity, SticPay and FasaPay are also on the page at 10 USD.

Local transfers save you the bank charges that come with an international wire. On a SWIFT payment, Fusion's FAQ warns that the sending and intermediary banks can keep $20 to $30 on the way. That charge is not Fusion's, yet it still shrinks what arrives. A local method or an e-wallet avoids it.

Card and PayPal rules to know

Card deposits are instant and free, and the FAQ suggests keeping each one under $25,000. Your card must be in your own name. Third-party payments are refused on every method, which means a friend, parent or company can't fund your account for you.

PayPal comes with two limits. First, it isn't offered in a list of countries that includes India, Indonesia and Nigeria. Second, withdrawals follow a match-back rule: money goes back to PayPal up to what you deposited through it over roughly the last six months, and profit beyond that leaves by another route.

Pick your account's base currency to match the money you deposit. A USD account funded from a euro card is converted on the way in and again on the way out.

How much should you deposit?

A sensible first deposit depends on your risk per trade, not on the broker's floor. Say you risk 1% per trade with a 20-pip stop on EUR/USD. At the smallest size of 0.01 lots, a pip is worth about 10 cents, so the trade risks about $2. One per cent of your account has to cover that, which points to a balance near $200.

How much should you deposit?. $10: $0.10: No, the trade risks about $2; $100: $1: Not quite; $200: $2: Yes; $1,500: $15: Yes, with room for 0.07 lots

With $10 in the account, the same trade risks 20% of your money. Two or three losses in a row would end the experiment. Small deposits are fine for checking that funding and withdrawals work, as long as you don't mistake that test for a trading plan.

Step by step: funding your account

  1. Log in to the Client Hub and select Payments.
  2. Choose the trading account you want to credit.
  3. Pick a method shown for your country and enter the amount.
  4. Complete the payment on the provider's page.
  5. Check the balance in the Hub, then in your platform.

Two-factor authentication switches on after your first successful deposit, so set up an authenticator app at the same time. If you haven't opened the account yet, our Fusion Markets account opening guide walks through the form and the documents.

Withdrawals generally return by the route you paid in. Decide how you want to be paid out before you make the first deposit.

When a deposit doesn't arrive

Instant methods normally credit within minutes. A card payment that hasn't shown after an hour has usually been declined by the card issuer, since many banks block payments to trading firms by default. Call your bank, ask them to allow the transaction, and try again. Five attempts at the same payment in a row can get the card frozen.

Bank wires are the slow ones. Fusion quotes 1 to 5 business days, and the clock runs on banking days, so a transfer sent on Friday may not land until the following week. Send support the SWIFT confirmation from your bank if a wire is still missing after five working days. That document lets the payments team trace it.

Local bank methods in Malaysia and Indonesia can take 1 to 2 business days, and Fusion notes a cooling period at some banks through ZotaPay, where a newly added beneficiary must wait before a transfer goes through. Plan around those delays if you are funding to meet a margin requirement.

Currency conversion: the cost nobody lists

A zero-fee deposit can still cost you through the exchange rate. Suppose your bank account is in Malaysian ringgit and your trading account is in US dollars. Your payment is converted at the provider's rate, which includes a margin, and the reverse happens when you withdraw. Two conversions on every round trip can take 1% to 3% of the money moved, depending on the provider.

You can limit that in three ways. Hold the trading account in a currency you already have, such as THB for Thai traders or SGD for Singaporeans. Use a multi-currency wallet that lets you keep dollars between deposits and withdrawals. And move money less often: one larger withdrawal a month costs less in conversion than four small ones.

Deposits and withdrawals are two halves of one decision. Before funding, read our Fusion Markets withdrawal guide to see how your chosen method pays out, including the PayPal match-back rule and the 35 USD wire minimum.

Keep the receipt for every deposit, with the date, amount and reference. Support will ask for it if a payment needs tracing, and you will want it for your own records at tax time.

No minimum sounds generous, and it is useful for testing. Position sizing sets the real floor. Below about $200 you can't risk 1% on a normal stop, so you end up overexposed without meaning to.

Illustrative case: Thanh, 24, Ho Chi Minh City

Thanh funded 500,000 VND through VNPay to see how deposits worked, then noticed that Vietnam is excluded from Fusion's negative balance protection. He kept leverage low, added enough to reach $250, and set every trade at 0.01 lots with a stop.
