Tickmill TradingView: Setup, $3.50 Commission and Free Subscription Plans
You can trade a Tickmill account from TradingView charts through a TradingView Raw account: raw spreads, $3.50 per lot per side and leverage up to 1:1000. Active traders can earn a free TradingView plan from 3 lots a month. Here is how it works.
Tickmill connects to TradingView through a dedicated account type. Its overview calls it TradingView Raw, and the platform page tells you to create a Tickmill Trader Raw account and connect it to TradingView. Either way, it is a raw-spread account in US dollars with a commission of $3.50 per lot per side.
Spreads start from 0.0 pips on forex and metals. Leverage goes up to 1:1000 under Tickmill's dynamic leverage system. No commission is charged on index, cryptocurrency and oil CFDs. The starting deposit is 100, the same as the other accounts.
| Account needed | TradingView Raw (Tickmill Trader Raw) |
|---|---|
| Commission | $3.50 per lot per side on forex and metals |
| Spreads | From 0.0 pips |
| Leverage | Up to 1:1000, dynamic |
| Currency | USD |
| Free TradingView plan | From 3 lots traded in the month |
How to connect
- Register with Tickmill and verify your profile.
- In the Client Area, open a Tickmill Trader Raw account.
- Fund your wallet and transfer money to that account.
- Open a chart in TradingView and go to the Trading Panel.
- Select Tickmill from the list of brokers.
- Log in with your Tickmill Trader account details and start trading.
An MT4 or MT5 Classic or Raw account won't connect. TradingView access runs through the Tickmill Trader platform's account type, so you need that specific account even if you already trade with Tickmill on MetaTrader. Money moves between your accounts through the wallet.
What it costs

| Item | TradingView Raw | Standard Raw (MT4, MT5) |
|---|---|---|
| Commission per side | $3.50 | $3.00 |
| Round turn per lot | $7 | $6 |
| Spreads from | 0.0 pips | 0.0 pips |
| Commission on indices, crypto, oil | None | None |
| Base currency | USD | USD, EUR, GBP, ZAR |
The premium over the MetaTrader Raw account is one dollar per round-turn lot. On 10 lots a month that is $10. For a trader who would otherwise pay for a TradingView subscription, the free plan described below can more than cover it.
| Position | Commission, round turn | With a 0.1-pip spread |
|---|---|---|
| 1.00 lot | $7.00 | About $8 |
| 0.50 lot | $3.50 | About $4 |
| 0.10 lot | $0.70 | About $0.80 |
| 0.01 lot | $0.07 | About $0.08 |
Free TradingView subscriptions
Tickmill pays for a TradingView plan if you trade enough through TradingView each month. Three plans are on offer, matched to three volume levels. The free plan renews automatically while you keep meeting the requirement.
| TradingView plan | Listed price | Lots needed in the current month | Features noted by Tickmill |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | $13.99 a month | 3 | 2 charts per tab |
| Plus | $28.29 a month | 5 | 4 charts per tab |
| Premium | $56.49 a month | 12 | 8 charts per layout |
One rule changes the sums for index traders. Index CFDs count at a reduced rate: one lot of US30, DE40 or USTEC counts as 0.25 lots towards the monthly requirement. An index trader needs 12 lots to reach the Essential tier, and 48 for Premium.
Check whether the offer is worth chasing. Three lots on TradingView Raw cost $21 in commission, plus spread, to unlock a plan priced at $13.99. If you would trade those three lots anyway, the plan is a free extra. Otherwise you are paying more in commission than the subscription costs.
Never add trades to reach a volume target. The commission and the risk on unnecessary trades outweigh a subscription worth $14 to $56.
What you get on TradingView
- More than 110 drawing tools and several chart types, on customisable layouts.
- Over 400 built-in indicators and 100,000 community strategies, by Tickmill's count.
- Alerts on price and market conditions, sent to your device.
- Pine Script for writing and backtesting your own strategies.
- Live market updates, economic data and news beside the chart.
- A large community that shares ideas and analysis.
Orders are placed from the chart or the order panel, and Tickmill's execution handles the fill. Backtests in Pine Script use historical data and don't include every real-world cost, so treat a strategy report as a starting point for testing with small live trades.
What it doesn't do

| Limitation | Detail | Workaround |
|---|---|---|
| No MetaTrader EAs | Expert advisors need MT4 or MT5 | Keep a separate MT5 Raw account for automation |
| USD only | No EUR, GBP or ZAR account | Hold a USD wallet for this account |
| Higher commission | $0.50 more per side than Raw | Offset by a free plan if your volume qualifies |
| Narrower product list | Tickmill Trader covers 100+ CFDs | Trade stocks and ETFs on MT5 |
Tickmill Trader's product range covers forex, indices, commodities, cryptocurrencies and bonds, a little over 100 CFDs. Stock and ETF CFDs sit on MT5. A trader who needs both can hold both account types under one Client Area.
Leverage on TradingView accounts
TradingView accounts use dynamic leverage. Forex and gold start at 1:1000 for small positions and fall to 1:500, 1:100 and 1:10 as the position grows. Bitcoin and Ethereum start at 1:200. Margin on a growing position rises faster than its size, which the Tickmill leverage guide explains with examples.
Is TradingView Raw right for you?
- Yes, if you already chart on TradingView and trade by hand.
- Also yes, if you trade 3 or more lots a month and would pay for a TradingView plan.
- No, if you rely on MetaTrader expert advisors.
- Not if you want an account in euros, pounds or rand.
- Maybe, if you are new: try the platform on a demo before deciding.
For anyone who answers no, the standard Raw account on MT5 is cheaper and more flexible. Our Tickmill Raw account guide covers it, and the account types guide compares all three.
Security and good practice
A connected broker turns your TradingView login into a way to place trades. Protect it with two-factor authentication in TradingView's own settings and a password you use nowhere else. Log out of the broker connection on shared computers. Deposits and withdrawals still happen only in Tickmill's Client Area.
Set alerts at your planned entry levels and close the screen. A call to the chart beats watching it and trading from boredom.
How to get more from the connection
Build one clean layout and keep it. A chart with twelve indicators tells you less than a chart with two you understand. TradingView's free tier limits indicators per chart, and that limit is no bad thing for a new trader.
Use bracket orders. When you place a trade from the chart, attach the stop loss and take profit at the same moment and drag them to the levels you drew during analysis. The risk on the trade is visible before you commit, which is the main advantage of trading from a chart at all.
Check the symbol. TradingView carries prices from many sources, and a chart from another feed can differ slightly from Tickmill's quote. Trade and analyse on the Tickmill symbol so the level you see is the level your order will meet.
Review costs monthly. The account history in the Client Area shows commission, and TradingView's own account panel shows your trades. Add up the commission, compare it with the value of any free plan you earned, and decide each quarter whether the TradingView account still beats a plain MT5 Raw account for the way you trade.
The free plan tiers are fair: three lots for Essential is within reach of a normal part-time trader. I'd still do the sums. If you only trade two lots a month, the standard Raw account and a paid plan may cost you less.
Daniyar paid for TradingView Plus and traded about 7 lots of EUR/USD and gold a month on MT5. He opened a Tickmill Trader Raw account, connected it to TradingView and moved his trading there. The extra commission came to about $7 a month, and his 7 lots qualified him for the Plus plan at no charge.
