RoboForex Trading Platforms: MT4, MT5, R StocksTrader, WebTrader and MobileTrader
RoboForex offers MetaTrader 4 and 5, its own R StocksTrader for stocks, and the RoboForex Trading Platform: WebTrader in the browser and MobileTrader on iOS, Android and Telegram. Here is how they compare, which accounts each supports and how to log in.
RoboForex lists five platforms: MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, R WebTrader, R MobileTrader and R StocksTrader. The two MetaTrader platforms carry most forex and CFD trading and all Expert Advisors. RoboForex's own Trading Platform, made up of WebTrader for browsers and MobileTrader for phones, gives access to MT4 and MT5 accounts with deposits, analysis and copy trading built in. R StocksTrader is a separate multi-asset platform for stocks and ETFs.
Which platform you use is decided when you open an account, so it's worth choosing carefully.

MetaTrader 4
RoboForex calls MT4 the top choice among its clients. It offers three types of order execution, 50 ready-to-use indicators, one-click trading, MQL4 programming for your own robots and the MetaTrader Market for buying Expert Advisors. There's a mobile app for iOS and Android and a web version.
MetaTrader 5
MT5 adds four execution types, six pending order types, market depth, a multi-currency strategy tester and a choice of netting or hedging. RoboForex is running an offer until 31 December 2026: deposit $500 into an MT5 account and get a MetaQuotes VPS free. Note that MT5 accounts with a balance under $1 show 'Trade is disabled on the server' until you deposit.
RoboForex Trading Platform
WebTrader runs in a browser and MobileTrader on phones, including as a Telegram mini app and as a web app you can add to your home screen. Both support MT4 and MT5 accounts and include charts with indicators such as EMA, RSI and Ichimoku, price alerts, news and signals, copy trading, and deposits and withdrawals. They don't run Expert Advisors. RoboForex says its support chat in the app answers in under 30 seconds on average. Our RoboForex support guide covers the channels.
R StocksTrader
R StocksTrader is RoboForex's platform for stocks, ETFs and other assets, with Level II depth, a no-code strategy builder and corporate actions handled automatically. It runs in the browser and as a mobile app; RoboForex recommends Google Chrome. Our RoboForex stock trading guide explains it.
Logging in to MetaTrader
- Open MT4 or MT5 and choose File, then Login to trade account.
- Enter your trading account number and trading password (not your Members Area password).
- Choose the server assigned to your account, such as RoboForex-Pro or RoboForex-ECN.
- In MT5 mobile, search for the company RoboForex Ltd first.
Common errors
| Error | Fix |
|---|---|
| Invalid account | Use the trading password; check you're in the right MetaTrader version |
| No connection | Rescan servers or enter the server's DNS address, e.g. mt4-pro1.roboforex.com |
| Not enough money | Reduce volume, close positions or add funds |
| Waiting for update | Close the chart, open a new one or restart the terminal |
| Trade is disabled (MT5) | Deposit; MT5 accounts under $1 can't trade |
Which platform should you use?
- Running EAs: MT4 or MT5 desktop, ideally on a VPS.
- Trading from your phone: MobileTrader or the MetaTrader apps.
- Stocks and ETFs: R StocksTrader.
- Netting accounts or market depth: MT5.
Platform and account set-up
Each RoboForex trading account belongs to one platform, chosen when you open it, so plan your set-up around how you trade. MT4 suits Expert Advisors and the widest choice of copy trading strategies; MT5 adds netting, market depth and more order types; R StocksTrader covers stocks. WebTrader and MobileTrader then sit on top, giving access to your MT4 and MT5 accounts from any browser or phone.
Download desktop terminals from RoboForex's Download Center or the Members Area, run the installer and log in with the trading account details from your welcome email.
Server names
RoboForex runs separate servers for each MT4 account group, such as RoboForex-Pro, RoboForex-ECN, RoboForex-Prime and RoboForex-ProCent, with several numbered servers for Pro and ProCent. MT5 uses RoboForex-Pro and RoboForex-ECN. If MetaTrader can't connect, entering the server's DNS address, such as mt4-pro1.roboforex.com, often fixes it.
Trading on the go
RoboForex gives several mobile options: MobileTrader on iOS and Android, the same app as a web app added to your home screen, a Telegram mini app, and the MetaTrader 4 and 5 apps. If you can't find MobileTrader in your country's App Store, RoboForex suggests opening webtrader.roboforex.com in your phone's browser instead.
For managing positions on the move, MobileTrader's price alerts, news and funding tools are convenient. When placing complex orders or running indicators you rely on, the MetaTrader apps may feel more familiar.
Analysis tools
RoboForex's platforms add analysis on top of charts: WebTrader includes company news, technical analysis and an economic calendar, and RoboForex publishes market forecasts on its website. MT5 adds an economic calendar and news inside the terminal.
Whichever platform you choose, practise on a demo first. Every platform puts buttons and settings in different places, and the first live trade is the wrong time to learn them.
If you're unsure, open a demo on two platforms and use both for a week. The one you reach for naturally is usually the right choice.
RoboForex's MobileTrader inside Telegram is a genuinely different idea, handy for checking positions on the go. For serious analysis and EAs, though, MetaTrader on a desktop remains the core of the RoboForex set-up.
Vikram runs an EA on a RoboForex MT4 Pro account on a VPS and monitors it through MobileTrader in Telegram. When he wanted to buy US shares, he opened a separate R StocksTrader account in the same Members Area.
