RoboForex stop out levels by account.

RoboForex stop out levels by account.

RoboForex groups its accounts into five types. Pro is its most popular account with beginners, ProCent is a cent account for testing strategies, ECN combines raw spreads with a commission, and Prime is what RoboForex calls its premium account with conditions close to those of liquidity providers. R StocksTrader is a separate account for its stock trading platform. All except R StocksTrader start at $10.

The differences go beyond spreads: leverage, stop out level, instruments and even how long your trade history is kept all change by account.

Figures from RoboForex's account details, 1 October 2026. All four run on MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 with market execution.

Pro

Pro is the account RoboForex calls the most popular with beginners. There's no commission, spreads float from 1.3 pips, and leverage goes up to 1:2000. It offers 28 currency pairs, metals, CFDs on US stocks, indices, oil and crypto. Its stop out level is 40%, and on MT5 you can hold up to 1,000 positions and 500 active orders.

ProCent

ProCent works like Pro but in cents: a $10 deposit shows as 1,000 US cents. It has 28 currency pairs, metals and crypto, leverage up to 1:2000, a 30% stop out and a maximum of 200 positions on MT4. Trade history is kept for only one month. Our RoboForex cent account guide explains it in detail.

ECN

ECN is for experienced traders who want raw spreads from 0 pips plus a commission charged per million dollars traded. Leverage reaches 1:500 and stop out is 50%. RoboForex's Help Center gives an MT4 example of 20 USD per million, which works out to about $4 per standard lot round turn on a USD-based pair. Crypto on ECN is limited to Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Prime

Prime is RoboForex's premium account, launched in 2017, with spreads from 0 pips and commissions it describes as close to those of liquidity providers. Leverage is capped at 1:300 and the stop out level is 100%, the strictest of the range. Prime doesn't offer crypto CFDs. Our RoboForex fees guide explains how commission is charged.

R StocksTrader

R StocksTrader is a separate account for RoboForex's own multi-asset platform, with more than 12,000 instruments including real US stocks, stock CFDs, ETFs, indices, currencies, metals and oil. It needs $100, stocks carry leverage up to 1:20, and stop out is 20%. Our RoboForex stock trading guide covers it.

Hedge or netting

On MT5 and R StocksTrader you choose between hedging and netting. A hedge account lets you hold several positions on the same instrument, including opposite ones. With a netting account, you keep one position per instrument, so a new order adds to, reduces, closes or reverses it. Copy trading needs a hedge account on MT5 and R StocksTrader.

Changing or closing accounts

An account's type and currency can't be changed after opening; you open a new account instead from the Real Account page of the Members Area. Accounts can't be deleted either, but you can move them to Inactive status.

Which RoboForex account should you choose?

  • Absolute beginners or EA testing: ProCent.
  • Beginners trading standard lots: Pro.
  • Active traders wanting low spreads: ECN.
  • High-volume traders with strong risk control: Prime, mindful of the 100% stop out.
  • Stock investors: R StocksTrader.

Cost comparison: Pro vs ECN

The choice between Pro and ECN is mostly a question of volume. On Pro, the cost is built into a spread that starts at 1.3 pips; on ECN, the spread starts at 0 and you pay a commission, which RoboForex's MT4 example puts at about $4 per standard lot round turn on a USD-based pair. If the typical Pro spread on your pair is wider than the ECN spread plus about 0.4 pips of commission, ECN is cheaper.

Pro still has advantages: higher maximum leverage, all six crypto CFDs and fixed rebates per lot. ECN suits traders who trade often enough for the lower all-in cost to add up. Prime goes further on cost, but its 100% stop out and 1:300 leverage make it an account for disciplined, well-capitalised traders.

Programs by account

Most RoboForex programs work on the MetaTrader accounts but not on R StocksTrader. Pro, ProCent, ECN and Prime all qualify for rebates and the 'up to 10% on account balance' program, and all four offer free withdrawals three times a month. Pro and ProCent receive fixed rebates per lot, while ECN and Prime receive a percentage of commission. Deposit bonuses are only offered on some account types, according to RoboForex's account table.

Because each RoboForex account is fixed once opened, many traders open a second account rather than compromise. Opening one is free and takes a minute in the Members Area.

Look at the stop out row before the spread row. Prime's 100% stop out closes positions as soon as equity falls to your used margin, which suits disciplined traders but punishes anyone who runs positions close to the limit.

Illustrative case: Yusuf, 38, Nairobi

Yusuf started on a RoboForex Pro account, then compared costs after six months of trading about 30 lots a month. He moved to ECN for the raw spreads, kept leverage at 1:100 and kept his used margin low so the 50% stop out was never close.
