Exness Fees: Spreads, Commissions, Swaps and the Admin Fee
Exness charges no deposit, withdrawal or inactivity fees, and only its Raw Spread and Zero accounts pay commission. The costs that matter are spreads, swaps and an overnight admin fee Exness can apply to some accounts. Here is every Exness charge and how to keep it down.
Exness keeps its fee list short. Its Help Center says it charges no deposit or withdrawal processing fees, opening an account is free, and there are no fees for inactive accounts. Commission applies only to the Raw Spread and Zero accounts; Standard, Standard Cent and Pro are commission-free. What you do pay is the spread on every trade, swaps on positions held overnight, and, for some traders, an administration fee on overnight positions that Exness reserves the right to apply.
That last charge is the one most reviews miss, and it can be large. The sections below set out each cost as Exness describes it, with the numbers that decide which account is cheapest for the way you trade.
| Deposit and withdrawal fees | None from Exness; some methods or banks may charge |
|---|---|
| Account opening | Free |
| Inactivity fee | None |
| Commission | Raw Spread and Zero only |
| Swaps | On overnight positions; none on Saturday or Sunday |
| Admin fee | Possible on overnight positions, by trading activity |

Spreads: the cost on every trade
Every Exness account pays a spread. Exness lists spreads from 0.2 pips on Standard, 0.3 on Standard Cent and 0.1 on Pro, while Raw Spread and Zero start from 0.0 pips and add a commission instead. According to Exness, its spreads are dynamic and real-time, and it doesn't widen them artificially. They do widen in thin markets, at the daily break and around big news. Our Exness spreads guide covers the published averages.
Commission on Raw Spread and Zero
Exness's Help Center says commission is charged only on Zero and Raw Spread accounts, varies by instrument, and is set out in the contract specifications in your Personal Area. It is based on the volume in both directions, opening and closing, and the full amount is charged when the order opens.
| Account | Commission | Spread from |
|---|---|---|
| Standard, Standard Cent, Pro | None | 0.2, 0.3 and 0.1 pips |
| Raw Spread | Up to $3.50 per lot per side | 0.0 pips |
| Zero | From $0.05 per lot per side | 0.0 pips on the top 30 instruments for 95% of the day |
Commission also varies by market. On Bitcoin, for example, Exness lists $2 per lot per side on Raw Spread and $4.375 on Zero; on stocks, Zero commission starts from $0.15 per lot per side. Our Exness Zero account guide explains how the zero-spread promise works.
Swaps: when and how much
Swap is the overnight interest added to or deducted from positions open at the daily rollover: 21:00 GMT in summer and 22:00 GMT in winter, Monday to Friday. Exness doesn't apply swaps on Saturday or Sunday. One day each week carries a triple swap to cover the weekend, and the day depends on the market.
| Market | Triple swap day | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Forex | Wednesday | Thursday for USDCAD |
| Metals | Wednesday | |
| Indices and stocks | Friday | |
| Crypto | Friday (Wednesday for crypto crosses) | |
| Energies | None | A single charge every weekday |
Exness offers swap-free status to many clients, automatically in Islamic countries and on a published list of instruments elsewhere. Our Exness swap-free guide explains who qualifies.
The admin fee on overnight positions
Exness states that its trading conditions suit people who mainly trade within the day, with few overnight positions. If your activity falls outside that, it reserves the right to apply an administration fee on positions held overnight, Monday to Friday, immediately and including on positions already open, under its Client Agreement. The fee is charged per lot, per trading account, after the 21:00 or 22:00 GMT cut-off.
| Instrument | Admin fee per lot (Exness schedule) |
|---|---|
| GBPUSD | $5 |
| EURUSD, USDJPY, EURGBP | $25 |
| USDCHF, EURCHF | $50 |
| XAUUSD (gold) | $200 |
| XAGUSD (silver) | $150 |
| USOIL, UKOIL | $200 |
| BTCUSD | $50 |
| US30 | $10 |
| Apple, Microsoft, Nvidia, Tesla | $5 |
At $200 a lot, the admin fee on an overnight gold position can dwarf the spread. If you hold trades for days, read this part of the Client Agreement and check whether the fee applies to your account before you build a strategy around Exness.
Deposits, withdrawals and inactivity
Exness says it doesn't charge deposit or withdrawal processing fees, although some payment methods and banks do, and it suggests checking each method's details in the Personal Area. Over 98% of withdrawals are processed automatically, according to Exness, and there is no fee for inactive accounts or for reactivating one. Our Exness withdrawal guide covers the methods and timings.
Which account is cheapest?
- Occasional trades, small sizes: Standard or Standard Cent; no commission, one number to watch.
- Frequent trading on major pairs: compare Raw Spread and Zero; the commission often costs less than a wider spread.
- Trades held for days: look first at swaps and the possible admin fee, which can outweigh any spread saving.
Our Exness account types guide compares all five accounts, and the trading cost calculator runs the numbers.
Exness's no-fee headline is accurate for deposits, withdrawals and inactivity. The real costs are the spread, swaps and that overnight admin fee. Anyone who holds positions for days should read the admin fee terms before trading.
Anan swing-traded gold on an Exness Standard account, holding positions for four or five days. When he read the Help Center's admin fee schedule, he saw that gold carried $200 a lot per night if the fee applied to his account. He asked support to confirm, cut his overnight exposure, and moved to shorter trades that close before the rollover.
