FXTM Withdrawal: Fees, Processing Times and the Closed-Loop Rule
FXTM releases withdrawals within 24 business hours, but fees depend on the method: free for Skrill, Neteller and crypto, $3 for cards and $30 for bank wire, plus a 3% fee if you haven't traded since your last deposit. Here is how withdrawals work and why they get rejected.
FXTM says it releases funds within 24 business hours of your withdrawal request. How long the money then takes to reach you depends on the method: e-wallets are instant, bank wires about one business day and cards three to five business days. Crypto withdrawals are processed within 30 minutes once your wallet is set up.
Fees are where FXTM differs from many brokers. Its account pages say FXTM doesn't charge for deposits or withdrawals, but its Help Centre lists per-method withdrawal fees, and a 3% charge if you withdraw without trading since your last deposit.
| Release | Within 24 business hours |
|---|---|
| Skrill and Neteller | Free, instant |
| Cards | $3, 3 to 5 business days |
| Bank wire | $30, about 1 business day |
| Crypto | Free, within 30 minutes |
| No trade since deposit | 3% fee |
Withdrawal fees by method
| Method | Fee | Time to receive |
|---|---|---|
| Skrill or Neteller | Free | Instant |
| Card | $3, EUR3 or GBP3 | 3 to 5 business days |
| Bank wire | $30 | 1 business day |
| Cryptocurrency | Free | Within 30 minutes after wallet binding |
| Local methods | Shown when you log in | Depends on the country |
If the fee for your method is larger than the amount you ask for, the request is rejected. Small withdrawals by bank wire are the usual case.
The 3% no-trading fee
FXTM charges 3% of the withdrawal if you haven't placed a trade since your last deposit. The fee is taken from the withdrawal before it is processed, and if you don't have enough to cover both the amount and the fee, the request may not be created. FXTM's own tip is simple: place a trade first. Its deposits page also reserves the right to charge the equivalent of any banking fees instead.
Depositing and withdrawing without trading is expensive at FXTM. A $1,000 round trip with no trade costs $30 before any method fee.
The closed-loop rule
Money must go back where it came from. If you deposited by card or crypto, your initial deposit amount has to be withdrawn back to that same card or crypto address first. Once that 'loop' is closed, profits can be withdrawn by any other method you have verified. FXTM makes exceptions when the original method is no longer available, such as an expired card; in that case, contact support through live chat.
All payments must go to an account in your own name. FXTM doesn't send money to third parties.
How to withdraw
- Log in to your FXTM account or app and open Funds > Withdraw.
- Check which methods need a loop closed first.
- Select the method and enter the amount.
- Enter your 5-digit security code if asked.
- Track the request under Funds > Transaction History, where it moves from Processing to Withdrawal Success.
Crypto withdrawals and wallet binding
The first crypto withdrawal to a new address goes through a binding check. You enter one wallet address, confirm with your security PIN, choose the coin and amount, and FXTM calls your registered phone number to confirm the address and amount. After binding, FXTM says future crypto withdrawals are processed instantly. You can have only one active crypto wallet at a time; changing it restarts the binding process.
Withdrawing with open trades
Withdrawals are allowed while positions are open, up to your free margin, which is equity minus used margin. Free margin moves with your open profit and loss, and withdrawing lowers your equity, which can bring a margin call or stop out closer. FXTM can reject a request if there isn't enough free margin when it processes it, which can take up to 24 business hours. See FXTM stop out levels.
Why withdrawals get rejected
| Reason | What to do |
|---|---|
| Not enough free margin when processed | Close positions or request less |
| Initial deposit not returned to the card or crypto source | Withdraw that amount to the original method first |
| Fee larger than the amount | Request more or use a cheaper method |
| Password or security code changed recently | Wait 4 hours; withdrawals are blocked after a change |
Processing hours
FXTM's back office processes transfers from 06:00 to 20:00 GMT+2 (GMT+3 in daylight saving time) on weekdays, and from 09:00 to 18:00 on Sundays. For Kenyan clients, processing runs 24 hours on weekdays, with shorter weekend hours. Requests made outside these hours wait for the next processing window.
Close the loop early. Withdraw your initial card deposit back to the card first; after that, an e-wallet makes later profit withdrawals free and fast.
Moving money without withdrawing
If you only want money in a different FXTM account, an internal transfer is faster and avoids withdrawal fees. Go to Funds > Internal Transfer, check the source account at the top, enter the amount, pick the destination and confirm. FXTM says funds move instantly. The option appears only when you hold more than one trading account.
Track each request under Funds > Transaction History. A withdrawal shows as Processing while FXTM reviews it, then Withdrawal Success once it has been released. If a request is rejected, the most common reasons are listed in FXTM's Help Centre, and live chat can help find an alternative method if your original one is no longer available.
FXTM's withdrawal costs vary more than most brokers' by method. Skrill, Neteller and crypto are free; a $30 bank wire on a small amount is not. And never deposit and withdraw without trading, because the 3% fee will apply.
Ahmed had deposited $300 by card and made $120 profit. He first withdrew $300 back to his card, paying the $3 card fee and closing the loop, then withdrew the $120 profit to his Skrill account for free, where it arrived within minutes of release.
