Commission per lot on IUX accounts.

Commission per lot on IUX accounts.

IUX's fee policy is short. Its Help Center says there are no account opening fees, no monthly or annual maintenance fees and no hidden administration charges. The payment page adds that deposits and withdrawals are free from IUX's side. What you pay comes from trading: spreads on every account, a commission on Raw, and swaps when they apply.

RawSpread from 0.0 pips, $7 per lot
Pro0.1 pips minimum, no commission

Spreads and commission by account

AccountSpread fromCommission per lotPricing model
Standard0.2 pips$0Cost inside the spread
Raw0.0 pips$7Raw spread plus commission
Pro0.1 pipsNoneTighter spread, no commission

These are minimum spreads. IUX's fee page notes that spreads are variable and can widen in volatile markets, and that the figures it shows are typical under normal conditions. Its currency CFD page separately advertises spreads "starting from 0.6 pips on major currency pairs", which is a reminder that the 0.0 to 0.2 pip figures are best cases, not averages.

Working out your cost per trade

On EURUSD, one pip on one standard lot (100,000 units) is worth $10. The cost of a round-turn trade is the spread in pips times $10 per lot, plus any commission.

Example (1 lot EURUSD)SpreadCommissionTotal cost
Standard at 1.0 pip$10$0$10
Pro at 0.6 pip$6$0$6
Raw at 0.1 pip$1$7$8

The spreads in this table are illustrations, not IUX quotes. Check the live spread in MT5 or IUX's live quotes before you trade, then plug the numbers into the same sum. The comparison shows why no account is cheapest for everyone: Raw wins when its spread is near zero, and Pro can win when its spread is tight too.

Swaps

IUX's fee page says swap-free conditions are "automatically offered for all registered accounts", provided you focus on day trading. If you hold trades for several days running, its system can switch your account to non-free swap status, and overnight fees then apply to all instruments except stock CFDs. Some instruments are charged swap even in swap-free status, including several cross pairs, most metals and oil, DXY and thematic indices. Our IUX swap-free guide lists them.

Your bank, card issuer or e-wallet can still charge you, and currency conversion happens at the market rate when you deposit or withdraw in local money. IUX says it isn't responsible for fees charged by banks.

Costs that aren't on the fee page

Slippage is the gap between the price you ask for and the price you get. IUX's Help Center says it happens mainly in high volatility and low liquidity, and suggests limit orders and avoiding major news to keep it down.

Leverage limits also change the cost of holding a position. During IUX's news, market-close and rollover windows, maximum leverage drops to 1:400 or lower, which means more margin for the same trade. See our IUX leverage guide.

LotBack: money back on volume

IUX's LotBack program gives points per lot traded on Standard, Raw and Pro accounts, which you can convert to withdrawable balance. Points are only earned on trades held for at least 5 minutes using real balance, and on eligible instruments. It works like a partial rebate on your costs. Details are on our IUX promotion page.

Which account is cheapest?

For a few trades a month, Standard's no-commission pricing keeps things simple and the $30 minimum keeps the stake low. Raw usually wins for frequent short-term trades on major pairs, because the commission is fixed while the spread stays close to zero. Pro is worth testing if you hold trades longer and want to avoid a commission on each one. Run all three side by side on a demo for a few weeks and compare real spreads before deciding.

When spreads widen

IUX's holiday trading notices warn that shortened sessions bring lower liquidity, higher volatility, wider spreads and possible slippage. The same is true at the daily rollover, which IUX's leverage policy treats as a low-liquidity window from 21:45 to 23:45 UTC, and in the minutes around major economic releases.

Spreads that look tight during the London and New York overlap can be several times wider at those moments. If your strategy depends on small targets, avoid opening trades around rollover and big news, and check the live spread rather than the advertised minimum.

Currency conversion

IUX accounts are held in US dollars. When you deposit in local currency, IUX converts it at the rate at the time of the transaction, and withdrawals are converted back the same way. IUX doesn't list a separate conversion fee, but every conversion uses a market rate, so moving money in and out often in a weak local currency can cost you a little each time.

IUX's account fee list really is short. The cost you need to watch is the live spread, which can be far wider than the 'from' figure during news, and swaps if the algorithm decides you're holding trades too long.

Illustrative case: Samuel, 29, Accra

Samuel traded about 20 lots of EURUSD a month on a Standard account. After checking live spreads on Raw and Pro demos for two weeks, he worked out that Raw would save him around a third on costs and moved his main balance there with an internal transfer.
