LiteFinance VPS: Plans From $15 a Month, Requirements and Set-Up
LiteFinance offers paid VPS plans from $15 to $95 a month on Windows Server 2022, available to fully verified clients and ordered from the Client Profile. Here are the plans, terms, set-up steps and when a VPS is worth paying for.
LiteFinance sells virtual private servers so Expert Advisors and cBots can keep running when your own computer is off. Its VPS page says the servers use Microsoft Hyper-V virtualisation with a 64-bit hypervisor, which guarantees the resources in your plan regardless of load on the company's servers, and that a qualified support team is available around the clock. Unlike some brokers, LiteFinance doesn't advertise a free tier: plans start at $15 a month, though promo codes can be used.
Only fully verified clients can order a VPS.

How to set it up
- Log in to the Client Profile and go to Metatrader, then Buy VPS.
- Choose a plan and click Buy, or activate a promo code.
- Receive the IP address, username and password by email.
- Open Remote Desktop Connection (run 'mstsc'), enter the IP and log in.
- Install MT4 or MT5 from LiteFinance's website and log in to your trading account.
- Copy your EA file into the terminal folder, attach it to a chart and enable automated trading.
Choosing a plan
One gigabyte of RAM is enough for a single MetaTrader terminal running a light EA. If you run several terminals, heavy indicators or cTrader with cBots, the 2 GB or 4 GB plans give room to spare. Paying for more than you need adds up: the gap between the smallest and largest plans is $80 a month.
| Use | Suggested plan |
|---|---|
| One MT4 or MT5 with a simple EA | LiteFinance1024 |
| Two terminals or several EAs | LiteFinance2048 |
| cTrader with cBots, many charts | LiteFinance4096 |
These are our suggestions, not LiteFinance's.
Terms of use
LiteFinance cancels the service without refund if the VPS is used for file-sharing networks, mass email or spam, unethical content, port scanning or generating traffic that overloads other servers. It can also refuse the service without giving reasons.
Using local devices
Remote Desktop can share your local printers, drives, some USB devices and the clipboard with the VPS: open Options, go to Local Resources and choose what to redirect. On the Display tab, you can set the remote desktop to full screen.
Is it worth it?
For anyone running EAs or cBots around the clock, $15 a month is modest next to the cost of a missed trade during a power cut. Manual traders who close positions daily rarely need one. Compare free VPS offers at RoboForex and FP Markets, which depend on trading volume.
Running EAs safely
A VPS keeps your strategy running at all hours, including its mistakes. Test every EA on a demo first, cap position size and the number of open trades, and make sure it places stop losses. LiteFinance's ECN accounts allow up to 500 orders and Classic 300, which a busy grid EA can reach.
Log in to the VPS regularly to check the terminal is connected and the EA is active, and restart the terminal after platform updates.
VPS vs home computer
A home computer costs nothing extra but depends on your power and internet. Renting a VPS removes those risks for a monthly fee. If your strategy only trades during the hours you're at your desk, a VPS adds little; if it trades around the clock, it is usually worth the cost.
Checking your VPS
Once a week, log in to the VPS, confirm your terminal shows a connection, and check that your EA is attached and AutoTrading is on. After Windows or platform updates, re-check everything, since terminals sometimes need restarting. Keep a copy of your EA files and settings on your own computer too.
Promo codes and payment
LiteFinance says the VPS details arrive by email once payment is completed or a promo code is activated. Promo codes come through LiteFinance's promotions, so check current offers before paying for a plan.
When to upgrade
If the VPS feels slow, charts lag or the terminal freezes, the plan may be too small for your set-up. Close unused charts and indicators first; if that doesn't help, move to the next plan. Upgrading from 1 GB to 2 GB adds $10 a month and doubles the memory.
Treat the VPS as part of your trading costs and include it when you judge whether an automated strategy is profitable.
If you only need automation for a few hours a day, a VPS may cost more than it saves. Weigh the monthly fee against how much your strategy depends on running around the clock.
LiteFinance's VPS is paid from the first month, so size it carefully. Start on the $15 plan with one terminal, and only upgrade if the server feels slow.
Rohan's cBot on LiteFinance cTrader stopped every time he closed his laptop. He bought the $25 VPS plan, installed cTrader on it, and his cBot now runs 24/5 while he checks it from his phone.
