LiteFinance ECN commission per lot by asset.

LiteFinance ECN commission per lot by asset.

LiteFinance's charges are straightforward once you know where to look. Trading costs are either a raw spread plus commission on ECN accounts, or a wider spread with no commission on Classic and Cent. Overnight positions pay or earn swaps unless your account is swap-free. Deposits carry no LiteFinance commission, and its ZERO Fees program refunds most payment-system deposit fees. The charge most likely to catch out casual traders is the inactivity fee: $10 for every 30 days once an account has been dormant for three months.

LiteFinance publishes a 'Markups and Commissions List' among its regulatory documents, which sets out each charge in detail.

Comparing ECN and Classic

On EUR/USD, a pip on one lot is worth about $10. Classic's spread from 1.8 points costs at least $18 per lot when spreads are at their tightest; ECN's raw spread plus the $5 commission is cheaper whenever the raw spread is below about 1.3 points. For anyone trading regularly, ECN usually wins. The Classic account suits traders who prefer a single built-in cost.

Swaps

Positions open after 00:00 platform time pay or receive a swap based on the interest rate difference between two currencies. LiteFinance's FAQ says the charge is tripled for the rollover from Wednesday to Thursday, covering the weekend. Swap-free accounts avoid swaps altogether, with no extra fees. Our LiteFinance swap-free guide explains them.

The inactivity fee

If no trades or balance transactions happen on any account in your profile for three months, LiteFinance treats the account as dormant and charges $10, or the equivalent in your account currency, every 30 days. Simply connecting to the account in a terminal or placing pending orders doesn't count as activity. Once the balance reaches zero, the account is archived after 40 days; live chat can restore it.

To avoid the fee, open and close a trade or make a balance transaction regularly, or withdraw the balance from accounts you no longer use.

Deposits and ZERO Fees

LiteFinance charges no deposit commission, and under its ZERO Fees program it refunds the fee your payment system charges as balance funds: automatically for cards and e-payments, and on request with a SWIFT copy within two weeks for bank transfers. Crypto deposit fees aren't refunded, and refunds may be revised for clients who trade under one lot. Our LiteFinance minimum deposit guide covers methods.

Other costs

  • VPS: paid plans from $15 a month.
  • Copy trading: the trader's profit share, set by each trader; LiteFinance charges no extra fee.
  • Withdrawals: payment-system charges as set out in LiteFinance's commissions list.

Keeping costs down

  1. Use ECN if you trade regularly.
  2. Trade the most liquid pairs during busy sessions.
  3. Close positions before 00:00 platform time if you don't need them overnight, especially on Wednesdays.
  4. Stay active, or withdraw funds, to avoid the inactivity fee.

A month of costs, worked through

Suppose you trade 20 lots of EUR/USD in a month on an ECN account with an average raw spread of 0.3 points. Commission is 20 × $5 = $100, and spread costs about 20 × $3 = $60, so about $160 in total. On Classic at 1.8 points, the same volume costs about $360 in spread. Holding positions overnight adds swaps to either.

Those figures are illustrative, but the gap is typical: for regular traders, ECN's lower all-in cost adds up quickly.

Bonus accounts and fees

If you take a deposit bonus, read how it interacts with fee refunds and stop outs. LiteFinance can revise ZERO Fees refunds if your trading costs are lower than the fees refunded and your volume is under one lot, and bonus accounts follow 'credit stop out' rules.

Spreads widen at times

LiteFinance's spreads are floating, so they widen in volatile markets, around news and at quiet times such as the daily rollover. Its specification tables show current spreads taken live from the server. Check the spread before placing large trades, especially on exotics and smaller crypto coins.

Your real cost is the total of spreads, commissions, swaps and any payment charges over a month. Check your account statement regularly to see it.

LiteFinance's ECN pricing is easy to work out: raw spread plus five dollars a lot on majors. The cost people forget is the $10 monthly inactivity fee, which can quietly empty a small account left untouched.

Illustrative case: Nimal, 38, Colombo

Nimal traded 20 lots of EUR/USD a month on a LiteFinance ECN account, paying $100 in commission plus raw spreads. When he took a three-month break, he withdrew his balance first, so the dormant-account fee had nothing to draw on.
