LiteFinance Account Types: ECN, Classic and Cent Compared
LiteFinance offers three account types: ECN with raw spreads from 0.0 and a commission per lot, Classic with spreads from 1.8 points and no commission, and Cent for small balances in selected countries. All three offer leverage up to 1:1000. Here is how they compare and which to choose.
LiteFinance keeps its line-up to three accounts, all using market execution with five-digit quotes. ECN is aimed at experienced traders and copy traders, with raw spreads from 0.0 points, no markup and a commission per lot. Classic, which LiteFinance describes as designed for traders with extensive experience, builds its cost into a floating spread from 1.8 points. Cent works in cents with a $10 minimum and is offered to clients in a list of countries.
When you register, LiteFinance automatically creates an ECN account on MT5, which also works in its web terminal. You can add others in the Metatrader section of the Client Profile.

ECN
LiteFinance says its ECN accounts send trades directly to liquidity providers with no conflict of interest, and allow scalping, news trading and unlimited trade duration, with no Stop & Limit levels. Spreads carry no markup; the commission is $5 per lot on major and cross forex pairs, $6 on minors, $5 on metals, $0.5 on oil, $3.5 per contract on indices, 0.1% on shares and 0.12% on crypto. On MT4, MT5 and the LiteFinance platform, the commission is charged when a trade opens; on cTrader, half on opening and half on closing. ECN accounts also carry negative balance protection. Our LiteFinance fees guide works through the costs.
Classic
Classic accounts have no commission and floating spreads from 1.8 points, with leverage up to 1:1000 on MT4, MT5 and the LiteFinance platform. LiteFinance positions it for experienced traders with an established strategy. Its maximum of 300 orders is lower than ECN's 500.
Cent
Cent accounts use a contract size of 1,000 instead of 100,000, so one lot is a hundredth of a standard lot, and balances are shown in US or euro cents. The minimum is $10, spreads start at 3 points and stop out is 50%. LiteFinance offers Cent to clients from countries including Bangladesh, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nigeria, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. Our LiteFinance cent account guide covers it.
Working out ECN vs Classic
On EUR/USD, a pip on one lot is worth about $10. Classic's spread from 1.8 points means a cost of at least $18 per lot in a typical market, while ECN's raw spread from 0.0 plus the $5 commission comes in lower whenever the raw spread is under about 1.3 points. For most active traders that makes ECN the cheaper account, and it is also the account LiteFinance links to copy trading.
Managing several accounts
- You can hold one Client Profile and up to ten active trading accounts; more on request.
- Account types sit on different servers, so you can't change type; open a new account and transfer funds instead.
- Internal transfers between your accounts are instant, up to 50 a day.
- One account is set as your 'main' account; only it can appear in the traders' ranking.
Swap-free versions
All three account types can be made swap-free after you apply through the Verification section. LiteFinance says swap-free accounts carry no extra maintenance fees or wider spreads. See our LiteFinance swap-free guide.
Which account should you choose?
- Active traders and scalpers: ECN, for raw spreads.
- Copy traders: ECN, the account LiteFinance links to its copy trading platform.
- Traders who prefer one built-in cost: Classic.
- Beginners in eligible countries: Cent.
Execution on every account
All three LiteFinance accounts use market execution with five-digit quotes and no requotes, according to LiteFinance. On ECN, it adds that trades are delivered directly to liquidity providers, that scalping and news trading are allowed, and that there are no Stop & Limit levels, so you can place stops close to the price. Trade duration is unlimited on all accounts.
Market execution means orders fill at the best available price when they reach the server. In fast markets that price can differ from the one on your screen, which is normal and applies to every account type.
Base currencies
ECN and Classic accounts can be in US dollars or euros; Cent accounts in US or euro cents. Clients from Ghana, Nigeria and Myanmar can hold accounts in their local currencies. You choose the currency when opening an account and can't change it later.
Commission timing
On MT4, MT5 and the LiteFinance platform, ECN commission is charged in full when a trade opens. With cTrader, half is charged on opening and half on closing. Either way the total is the same, but the opening charge means a new ECN position starts slightly negative on MT4 and MT5.
LiteFinance's default ECN account is also its best value for most people: raw spreads, a clear per-lot commission and negative balance protection. Classic only makes sense if you specifically want commission-free pricing.
Tuan started on the ECN account LiteFinance created automatically when he registered. After a month he added a Cent account for testing a new EA at tiny size, keeping both under one Client Profile and moving money between them with internal transfers.
