How to Open a LiteFinance Account: Registration, Verification and Security
Opening a LiteFinance account takes a short registration in the Client Profile, after which an ECN account is created automatically. Full verification needs identity and address documents, and unlocks services such as instant withdrawals and VPS. Here are the steps, documents and security settings.
Everything at LiteFinance runs through the Client Profile at my.litefinance.org. You register with your country, phone number, email, password and the currency of your first account, choose a nickname for the Social Trading service, and confirm your email with a code. LiteFinance then creates an ECN trading account on MT5 automatically, which also works in its web terminal. To unlock everything, including instant withdrawals, copy trading as a trader and VPS, you complete full verification of your phone, identity and address.
LiteFinance allows one Client Profile per person, with up to ten active trading accounts inside it.
| Register | Country, phone, email, password, currency |
|---|---|
| First account | ECN on MT5, created automatically |
| Identity | Passport or driving licence, valid 6+ months |
| Address | Utility bill within 3 months, bank statement or affidavit |
| Files | Colour jpg, pdf or png, up to 15 MB |
| 2FA | Google Authenticator, SMS or email |
Registration step by step
- Open the registration form and enter your country, phone, email and password.
- Choose a nickname: it must start with a letter and can include numbers and underscores.
- Confirm your email with the one-time code LiteFinance sends.
- Accept the Client Agreement and click Register.
- Switch to real trading mode in the top-right menu to see your live ECN account.
Verifying your phone
Go to My Profile, then Verification, click Confirm next to your phone number and choose Verify my current number. If it's a mobile number, LiteFinance sends an SMS code. LiteFinance's SMS messages are free. If one doesn't arrive, check the number, restart your phone, and contact live chat; some operators block short-code messages, and support can send the code manually.
Documents for full verification
| Type | What LiteFinance accepts |
|---|---|
| Proof of identity | Passport first page or driving licence, issued by a government agency, with photo, valid for at least 6 months |
| Proof of address | Passport address page, utility bill within 3 months, bank statement, affidavit or bills from international organisations |
| Not accepted | Mobile phone bills as proof of address |
| Format | Colour copies or photos, jpg, pdf or png, up to 15 MB |
Fill in every address field (country, region, city, postcode and address) in My Profile, then Verification, click Continue and upload full-size colour copies.
Security settings
- Enable Google Authenticator, SMS or email codes under Security; you can use them together.
- If Google Authenticator codes are rejected, set your device's time zone to automatic.
- Keep a backup plan: losing the authenticator device locks you out until support helps.
- Set a phone password, which LiteFinance uses to identify you by phone.
If you lose the device with Google Authenticator, you won't be able to log in to the Client Profile. Contact LiteFinance support straight away.
Changing your details
To change a verified phone number, LiteFinance asks for proof that you own the number, such as a contract with your mobile provider, and a colour selfie holding your ID. An email change needs only the ID selfie. Address changes are made with the Edit button in the Proof of Address line and need re-verification.
Adding accounts
In the Metatrader section, click Open account and choose the platform, account type, currency and leverage. Each type lives on its own server, so it can't be changed later. Our LiteFinance account types guide helps you choose.
Starting to trade
- Fund your main account in the Finance section.
- Open the Trade section and choose a market tab, such as currencies or crypto.
- Click an instrument to open its chart and use the order panel to buy or sell.
- See and manage open trades in the Portfolio panel.
Where LiteFinance doesn't operate
LiteFinance Global LLC doesn't serve residents of EEA countries, the USA, Israel, Russia and some other countries. Our LiteFinance regulation guide explains its companies.
Your main account
LiteFinance labels the first trading account in your profile as 'main'. All trading operations in the web terminal run through it, and only the main account can appear in the traders' ranking for copy trading. To make another account your main one, click 'Set as main' next to it in the Metatrader section.
If you plan to copy traders or be copied, decide early which account will be your main one and fund it, since copy trading draws on it.
Closing an account or profile
Active trading accounts can't be deleted from the Client Profile, and the profile itself can't be closed there either. Ask support via live chat. Remember that accounts left unused for three months start paying LiteFinance's $10 inactivity fee, so withdraw funds from accounts you no longer need.
SMS codes not arriving
If a verification SMS doesn't arrive, LiteFinance suggests checking the number in your profile, making sure it is verified, and restarting your phone. When the problem continues, your mobile operator may be blocking short-code messages; support can send the code manually through live chat, and your operator can unblock short codes for the future.
Most registrations take a few minutes; full verification depends on how quickly you upload clear documents. Have your passport and a recent bill ready before you start.
Complete full verification even if you only plan to trade small sums. At LiteFinance it unlocks instant withdrawals, VPS and trader status, and it saves a scramble when you want your money out.
Samuel registered with LiteFinance, found an ECN account already created, and verified his identity with his passport and his address with a bank statement from the previous month. He enabled Google Authenticator and set a phone password before making his first deposit.
