Elev8 Platforms: Elev8Trader vs MetaTrader 4 vs MetaTrader 5
Elev8 offers three platforms: its own Elev8Trader with the Space feed and AI tools, plus MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5. Each account belongs to one platform. Here is how they compare, what the Elev8 app does, and which one to choose.
Elev8 gives access to the markets through three trading platforms: Elev8Trader, MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5. Elev8Trader is the broker's own platform and the hub of what it calls its ecosystem. The two MetaTrader platforms are the industry standards that most traders already know.

Your choice of platform is also your choice of account, because Elev8 ties each trading account to one platform. Conditions are broadly the same across them: dollar accounts, floating spreads with no separate commission, zero swaps and leverage up to 1:1000. The differences are in tools, automation and how each demo behaves.
| Platforms | Elev8Trader, MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5 |
|---|---|
| Elev8's own description | Elev8Trader for beginners, MT5 for experienced traders, MT4 for everyone |
| Mobile | Elev8 trading app, plus MetaTrader apps |
| Web | Elev8Trader and MetaTrader web platforms |
| Automation | Expert advisors on MT4 and MT5 |
| Execution | Market execution, advertised at under 0.1 seconds |
The three platforms compared
| Feature | Elev8Trader | MetaTrader 4 | MetaTrader 5 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Elev8 calls it | Intuitive and versatile | Simple and popular | Technically advanced |
| Recommended for | Beginners | Everyone | Experienced traders |
| Built-in ideas and lessons | Yes, through Space | No | No |
| Expert advisors | No | Yes | Yes |
| Shares account | No | No | Yes, by application |
| Demo expiry when idle | None | 8 days | 30 days |
Elev8's own comparison refuses to crown a winner. Asked whether MT5 is better than MT4, it answers that MT5 is more advanced and more complex too. The right platform depends on your needs, trading style and experience.
Elev8Trader
Elev8Trader runs in a web browser and in the Elev8 trading app, with charts, orders and settings synced across devices. Elev8 describes it as modern and trader-focused, and says it was designed to be the most convenient choice for people new to online trading.
Its distinguishing feature is Space, a feed inside the platform. Elev8 says more than 130 trading ideas are posted there daily, alongside expert analysis, discussion and step-by-step lessons. An idea can be copied to your chart with its parameters set, ready to execute with one tap.
| Elev8Trader tool | What Elev8 says it does |
|---|---|
| Space feed | Trading ideas, analysis and lessons in the platform |
| AI pattern search | Checks a chart idea in seconds |
| AI feedback | Reviews your past trades |
| Break even and trailing stop | Protects gains on open trades |
| Profit calculator | Estimates profit or loss before you trade |
Ready-made ideas are convenient and need the same scrutiny as any other tip. An idea that arrives with entry, stop and target already filled in still has to fit your account size. Check the lot size and the money at risk before you tap.
Ready-made ideas and AI tools are aids, not guarantees. Every idea can lose, and the position size is your responsibility.
MetaTrader 4
MT4 is the classic. Elev8 calls it simple, popular and suitable for everyone. Its strength is the enormous library of expert advisors and custom indicators written for it over many years. If you own an EA built for MT4, this is where it runs.
Elev8's FAQ covers the common first-day problems. To see every instrument, right-click any pair in Market Watch and select Show All. An EA is launched by dragging it from the Navigator onto a chart, then setting the parameters and pressing OK. Remember that an MT4 demo is deactivated after 8 days without a login.
MetaTrader 5
MT5 is the newer platform, with more timeframes, depth of market and a faster strategy tester. Elev8 describes it as sophisticated and aimed at experienced traders. It carries slightly more instruments on some markets; Elev8's digital assets page lists 34 on MT5 against 30 on Elev8Trader.
MT5 is also the only platform for Elev8's shares trading account, which is set up through customer support. The Elev8 shares trading guide explains it. An EA written for MT4 won't run on MT5, so check the version before you choose.
Mobile and web access
The Elev8 trading app lets you trade, monitor positions and manage your account from a phone, and Elev8 reports ratings of 4.6 on Google Play and 4.5 on the App Store. You can use MT5 or Elev8Trader accounts through the app. MetaTrader's own mobile apps work with your MT4 and MT5 accounts as well.

Web versions exist for all three. Elev8 says the MetaTrader web platforms match the desktop apps in their main tools, including one-click and chart trading. You log in with your trading account number and the password sent to you, choosing the correct server.
| Device | Elev8Trader | MT4 | MT5 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Web browser | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Elev8 trading app | Yes | No | Yes |
| MetaTrader mobile app | No | Yes | Yes |
| Desktop terminal | Browser-based | Yes | Yes |
Autochartist and other tools
Elev8 provides Autochartist, a market scanning tool that looks for chart patterns and levels across asset classes. Elev8's FAQ says it produces more than a thousand signals a month. Treat any accuracy figure quoted for pattern tools with caution; a pattern that completes isn't the same as a trade that profits.
The site also offers a trading calculator for margin, a profit calculator and an economic calendar. Use the margin calculator before opening anything larger than usual. It takes the instrument, volume and leverage and returns the margin required.
Market hours and maintenance
Currency pairs trade 24 hours a day, five days a week, from 12:00 a.m. Monday to 11:59 p.m. Friday, server time. Crypto trades 24/7. Share trading follows each stock's exchange hours. No trading is possible during server maintenance: from 12:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. on Saturday and from 3:30 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. on Sunday.
Fixes for common problems
| Message | Meaning | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Invalid account | Wrong login details | Check account number, password and server |
| No connection | Can't reach the server | Re-scan servers; check firewall; restart as administrator |
| Invalid volume | Wrong order size | Minimum is 0.01 lot, in steps of 0.01 |
| Not enough money | Free margin too low | Reduce the volume or add funds |
| Market is closed | Outside the instrument's hours | Check the trading schedule or symbol specification |
A lost trader password can be restored in your profile. If none of the fixes works, Elev8's support is available around the clock by chat.
Which platform should you choose?
- New to trading: Elev8Trader, for its simpler layout and non-expiring demo.
- Owner of an MT4 expert advisor: MT4.
- Want depth of market, more timeframes or the shares account: MT5.
- Mostly on a phone: Elev8Trader or MT5 through the Elev8 app.
- Unsure: open two demos and place the same trades on each for a week.
Demos are free and need no verification, as our Elev8 demo account guide explains. Since an account can't change platform, test first and then open the real one. The account types guide covers what else is fixed at creation.
Whatever you pick, learn where the stop loss field is before anything else. The best platform is the one on which you never forget it.
Give yourself a fair trial on whichever platform you test. Place at least twenty orders, including a limit order, a stop order and a trade with both stop loss and take profit attached. Platforms feel very different once you move beyond a simple market order, and those are the functions you will rely on.
Elev8Trader is a friendly platform and the Space feed will keep beginners engaged. I'd use the ideas as study material first. Follow twenty of them on demo, record the results, and you'll know how much weight to give them.
Teguh opened demos on Elev8Trader and MT4. He followed ten Space ideas on demo and logged six winners and four losers, which taught him to size them small. His MT4 demo expired after a week away, so he chose Elev8Trader for his real account and kept MT4 in mind for automation later.
