Elev8 Islamic Account: Every Account Is Swap-Free by Default
Elev8 doesn't have a separate Islamic account because all of its accounts are swap-free. No interest is charged or paid on overnight positions, and there is nothing to apply for. Here is what that covers, what you still pay, and the questions to take to a scholar.
Elev8's answer to whether it offers an Islamic account is short: all of its accounts are Islamic friendly. Its FAQ says there is no accumulation, collection or payment of interest rates. A second answer adds that all Elev8 accounts are already swap-free and Sharia-compliant, in the broker's words, and that you don't need to turn swaps off manually.

That makes Elev8 different from most brokers, where swap-free status is a special request with its own conditions. Here it is the default on Elev8Trader, MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 accounts alike. The spreads page repeats the point with the phrase zero swaps, no hidden fees.
| Separate Islamic account | Not needed; all accounts are swap-free |
|---|---|
| Application | None |
| Swaps | Zero, per Elev8 |
| Platforms | Elev8Trader, MT4, MT5 |
| Commission on CFDs | None; included in the spread |
| Minimum deposit | $25 |
What swap-free means here
A swap is the interest adjustment most brokers apply when a leveraged position is held past the daily rollover. It can be a charge or a credit, depending on the instrument and the direction of the trade. Elev8 says it applies none. Hold a position for a night, a week or a month and no interest line appears.
| Feature | Typical broker | Elev8 |
|---|---|---|
| Overnight swap | Charged or credited daily | None |
| Swap-free account | By application, often for Muslim clients only | Every account |
| Replacement admin fee | Common after a grace period | None described in the FAQ |
| Positive swap on some trades | Possible | Not paid |
Elev8's FAQ doesn't describe an administration or handling fee that replaces the swap. We found no such fee on the pages we read. Terms can change, so read the Customer Agreement for your entity and look at your account history after the first overnight hold to confirm that nothing was deducted.
How Elev8 earns without swaps
A broker that charges no swap and no commission still has to be paid. Elev8 says its commissions are included in its spreads as a mark-up. Spreads are floating and start from 0.6 pips on forex. You pay that cost once, when you open and close the trade, however long you hold it.

For a trader who holds positions for days or weeks, that structure can be cheap, since many brokers charge more in swaps over a fortnight than in spread. A scalper who opens and closes many times a day finds that the spread is the whole cost and matters more than the absence of swaps.
| Holding time | Costs at a typical swap-charging broker | Costs at Elev8 |
|---|---|---|
| Minutes to hours | Spread, perhaps commission | Spread |
| One night | Spread plus one swap | Spread |
| Two weeks | Spread plus fourteen swaps | Spread |
| Three months | Spread plus about ninety swaps | Spread; check the inactivity rule doesn't apply |
Elev8 charges a monthly fee of 5 USD if you don't trade for a full year. An open position isn't the same as never trading, but check the Customer Agreement if you plan very long holds.
Is it halal?
Elev8 uses the words Islamic friendly, Sharia-compliant and halal trading in its FAQ. Those are the broker's own descriptions. The pages we read don't name a Sharia supervisory board, a certifying scholar or a published fatwa.
Removal of interest addresses one concern, riba. Scholars raise others about leveraged CFD trading, including whether there is real ownership of the asset, the role of margin, and how speculation is viewed. Opinions differ, and we aren't qualified to rule. Take the mechanics described here to a scholar you trust and make the decision with their guidance.
- No interest is charged or paid on overnight positions.
- The broker's fee is a mark-up inside the spread.
- Trades are CFDs: you don't take delivery of the currency, metal or coin.
- Leverage from 1:1 to 1:1000 is available, and 1:1 means no borrowing effect.
- A separate shares account exists with no leverage and with dividends.
That last point may matter to some readers. Elev8's shares trading account uses no leverage and passes on dividends, which is closer to ordinary investing than a CFD is. Our Elev8 shares trading guide explains how it works and what it costs.
The 1:1 leverage option
Elev8 is unusual in offering 1:1 as a leverage option. At 1:1, a position's full value is held as margin, so you can only open trades your balance covers completely. A trader who wants to avoid any borrowed exposure can select it.
The trade-off is capital. One micro lot of EUR/USD is worth about 1,000 euros, so a 1:1 account needs more than $1,000 to open even the smallest position. The Elev8 leverage guide sets out the margin at each level.
The bonus question
Elev8 offers a 50% bonus on each deposit. Whether a trading bonus with volume conditions is acceptable is another matter on which scholars differ, and it is entirely optional. You activate it yourself in your profile and can leave it off. Our Elev8 bonus guide covers the terms.
How to start
- Sign up and verify your profile with a government photo ID.
- Create a trading account on Elev8Trader, MT4 or MT5.
- Choose your leverage; 1:1 is available if you want no borrowing effect.
- Deposit from $25.
- After your first overnight position, check the account history for any charge.
No extra form or proof of faith is requested, because nothing is being switched. The Elev8 account opening guide covers the documents and timings.
Things to check for yourself
- Read the Customer Agreement for your entity and search it for swap, rollover and fee.
- Hold a small position overnight and inspect the history the next day.
- Ask support in writing whether any instrument carries an overnight charge.
- Recheck after any announced change to trading conditions.
- Keep the written answer with your records.
A written confirmation costs you five minutes in the 24/7 chat and settles the matter better than any marketing page. Ask specifically about the instruments you trade, including crypto and indices, where overnight charges are most common elsewhere.
Swap-free removes one cost. It doesn't reduce market risk, and leveraged positions can still lose money quickly.
Who benefits most
| Trader | Benefit from zero swaps |
|---|---|
| Muslim trader avoiding interest | No application, no admin fee described |
| Trader who holds for days | No nightly cost eroding the trade |
| Position trader holding for months | Large saving against swap-charging brokers |
| Scalper or day trader | Little; spread is what counts |
| Carry trader seeking positive swap | None; no swap is paid either |
If you close everything the same day, pick a broker on spread and execution instead. For those who hold, the absence of swaps is one of Elev8's strongest features. Spreads and the other charges are compared in our Elev8 fees guide.
Check the spread on your instrument at the hour you usually trade. With no swap and no commission, that one number is nearly your entire cost.
Review the position once a year as well. Brokers revise conditions, and a feature offered to everyone today can gain exceptions later. A short message to support each January, asking whether anything has changed for the instruments you hold, keeps your records current.
A swap-free default on every account is a clean solution. Nobody has to prove their religion or watch a grace period. I would still ask support to confirm it in writing for the instruments you hold longest, and I'd keep that message.
Abdullah opened an MT5 account at 1:50 and bought 0.05 lots of gold, which he held for 19 days. He checked his account history each week and saw no swap or fee entries. Before starting he had asked support in chat to confirm that gold carried no overnight charge, and he saved the reply.
