How to Open an Elev8 Account: Sign-Up, Verification and First Trade

You open an Elev8 account online. The FAQ describes three steps: fill out the signup page or link your social media profile, confirm your email address, then enter the required information and set up your trading account. A minimum deposit of $25 gets you trading.

Verification is a separate step that you can complete before or after funding. Elev8 strongly recommends doing it first. It asks for one document proving your identity, and it says the check usually takes just a few minutes, with up to 24 hours when requests are heavy or arrive overnight or at the weekend.

Sign-up, step by step

1. Open the signup page, fill it out and press Open Account, or link a social media profile.
2. Find the email titled Confirm Your Email Address and press Confirm Email.
3. Fill in the required personal information and press Continue.
4. Finish setting up your trading account: platform, real or demo, and leverage.
5. Verify your profile with a photo of your ID.
6. Make a first deposit from $25.

Your welcome email contains the Elev8 PIN. Keep that email. The PIN is required for withdrawals and internal transfers, and although it can be reset, losing it at the wrong moment is a nuisance.

Documents and photo rules

Elev8 accepts a passport, a national identity card or any other government-issued photo ID. The document must not be expired. You submit a photo through your profile.

That last row applies if you don't live in the country that issued your main ID. Elev8 asks for an additional document from your country of residence in that case. Have it ready before you start so the check isn't paused.

Why verify before depositing

Elev8 gives three reasons. Verification confirms your information is valid, it helps make sure your transactions are authorised, and it protects you against fraud. The practical reason is stronger: you can withdraw funds only after your profile is verified.

Card users should take particular note. Elev8 singles out Visa and Mastercard deposits as cases where verifying first is strongly recommended. A profile that has deposited by card and then fails verification leaves money waiting on paperwork.

Choices at account creation

How to add more accounts

Current clients can add accounts from the dashboard. Select Create Account in the Your Accounts section, or go to Trading Accounts, then Account List, and choose Open a Real Account or Open a Demo Account. Elev8 lets you hold several, and you can open as many demo accounts as you want.

A shares trading account is the exception. It needs a verified profile, a first deposit and an application form from customer support. Mistakes or inconsistencies on the form lead to a refusal, so fill it in carefully.

Passwords, PIN and security

Three separate secrets protect three different things. Use a different value for each and store them in a password manager. Elev8 says your profile is SSL-secured with 128-bit encryption, which protects the connection but not a password you reuse elsewhere.

If verification is slow

• Retake the photo in daylight with the whole document in frame.
• Check that nothing is covered by a finger or cut off at the edge.
• Make sure the ID hasn't expired.
• Send the photo unedited, without filters or cropping tools.
• Add the residence document if your ID is from another country.
• Allow up to 24 hours at weekends before contacting support.

An email from Elev8 tells you when verification is complete. If a day passes with no result, its support team is available 24/7 by chat.

A sensible first week

1. Day one: sign up, verify and store your PIN.
2. Next, open a demo on the platform you plan to use and place practice orders.
3. Midweek, deposit a small amount by the method you intend to keep.
4. Then place a 0.01 lot trade with a stop loss and close it.
5. Finally, withdraw a few dollars to confirm the route works.

Good to know before you start

Use an email address you will keep. Elev8 sends the confirmation link, the welcome message with your PIN, verification results and withdrawal notices there. A sign-up through a social media profile is quicker, but your account access then depends on that profile staying in your hands.

Enter your name exactly as it appears on your ID. A nickname or a different spelling is the most common reason a verification is questioned, and it causes trouble again at withdrawal, when the recipient's name is compared with the profile.

Think about the entity as well. Elev8 groups its legal documents under Mauritius, Seychelles and Comoros licences. Which one applies is shown during registration and in the documents you accept. Note it, because that company's regulator is the one you would turn to in a dispute.

Finally, decide on leverage before you reach that field. Elev8 lists ten options from 1:1 to 1:1000, and the highest one is preselected at many brokers. A new trader loses nothing by choosing 1:50 or 1:100, and the setting can be raised later when the account is flat.

None of these choices takes long, and all of them are easier to get right at the start than to repair afterwards.
