Vantage Withdrawal: Fees, Minimums, Processing Times and Cool-Off Rules
Vantage charges no withdrawal fee except on international bank transfers, which cost 20 units of your account currency. The minimum is $30, and times run from the same day for crypto to five business days for wires. Here are the rules that delay payouts.
Vantage lets you withdraw from the client portal or the Vantage App. The broker charges nothing for most methods. International bank transfer is the exception: it costs 20 units of your account currency, or 150 HKD or 3,000 JPY. The minimum withdrawal is $30 or 3,000 JPY, and if your balance is below that you can take out whatever is left.
Each withdrawal is approved with a one-time code from a security authenticator app. Money goes back to accounts in your own name, and card deposits are refunded to the card before anything is sent elsewhere.
| Fee, most methods | None from Vantage |
|---|---|
| Fee, international bank transfer | 20 units of account currency |
| Minimum withdrawal | $30 / 3,000 JPY, or the full balance if lower |
| Crypto withdrawal | Base rate 3% per order; see the withdrawal page |
| Approval | Security authenticator code |
| Weekends | Requests accepted; processing may be slower |
Withdrawal times by method
| Method | Time to arrive |
|---|---|
| Cryptocurrency (USDT, BTC) | 0 to 2 business days |
| Credit or debit card | 1 to 3 business days |
| E-wallet | 1 to 3 business days |
| Local bank transfer | 1 to 3 business days |
| International bank transfer | Up to 5 business days |
These ranges come from Vantage's Help Centre. They describe how long money takes to reach you, and your bank or card issuer controls the last stretch. Card refunds in particular can take several days to show on a statement after the broker has released them.
What each method costs

| Method | Vantage's fee | Other costs to expect |
|---|---|---|
| Card | None | None in most cases |
| E-wallet | None | The wallet's own withdrawal fee |
| Local bank transfer | None | Possible currency conversion |
| International bank transfer | 20 units of account currency | Intermediary and receiving bank fees |
| Cryptocurrency | Base rate 3% per order | Rate shown on the withdrawal page is final |
The crypto line surprises people. Vantage's Help Centre gives a base rate of 3% per order for cryptocurrency withdrawals and says the actual rate may vary, with the figure on the withdrawal page being the one that counts. On $500 that is about $15. Compare it with a free local bank transfer before choosing speed over cost.
On a wire, Vantage's 20-unit fee is only part of the bill. Intermediary banks can take their own cut, and Vantage states those charges are the client's responsibility. Small withdrawals by wire are poor value: a $60 payout can lose a third or more on the way.
The order money is returned in
If you ever deposited by credit card, withdrawals go back to that card first, up to the amount you paid in with it. Once the card deposit has been fully returned, the rest is sent by other methods you have used. This is standard anti-money-laundering practice and it shapes your plans more than any fee.
| Your deposits | You withdraw | How it is paid |
|---|---|---|
| $300 by card | $200 | $200 to the card |
| $300 by card | $500 | $300 to the card, $200 by another method you used |
| $300 by local bank | $500 | $500 to your bank account |
| $200 by card and $200 by e-wallet | $350 | $200 to the card, $150 to the e-wallet |
Has the card expired or been cancelled? Vantage has a process for that, and you will need to contact support with evidence. Sort it out before you request the withdrawal, not after it has bounced.
Cool-off periods after security changes
Vantage blocks withdrawals for a short time after certain changes to your profile. The aim is to stop a thief who has got into an account from changing the details and emptying it.

| Change you make | Withdrawals blocked for |
|---|---|
| Email address or phone number | 48 hours |
| Security authenticator | 48 hours |
| Login password | 24 hours |
Plan around those windows. A password reset on Monday morning means no withdrawal until Tuesday morning. If you are about to travel or change phones, move the authenticator while you don't need cash from the account.
Withdrawals with open trades or bonus credit
You may request a withdrawal while positions are open. Vantage recommends watching your margin level when you do, because taking equity out brings the 50% margin call and the 20% stop out closer. Work out what the margin level will be after the withdrawal, not before.
Bonus credit adds a second effect. If you hold credit from the deposit bonus, withdrawing part of your deposit removes a share of the credit on a pro rata basis. Your usable margin can fall by more than the amount you took out. The Vantage bonus guide shows the sums.
A withdrawal from an account with open trades and bonus credit cuts your margin twice: once for the cash and again for the credit removed with it.
Why withdrawals are rejected or delayed
- Verification is incomplete, or a document has expired.
- The receiving account isn't in your name.
- A cool-off period is still running after a security change.
- The amount is under $30 while your balance is above it.
- Bank details were mistyped or belong to a closed account.
- The free margin left would not support your open positions.
A rejected request returns the money to your trading account. Check the reason in the portal, fix it and submit again. You can also cancel a pending request yourself if you change your mind, according to the Help Centre.
How to withdraw, step by step
- Log in to the client portal or the Vantage App.
- Select Withdraw and choose the trading account.
- Pick a method from those shown for your region.
- Enter the amount and check any fee displayed.
- Confirm with the code from your authenticator app.
- Track the request in your withdrawal history.
The portal lists only the methods available to you, and Vantage says the list changes over time. Bank details you use often can be saved for future withdrawals.
Tips for a smooth payout
- Add the authenticator on day one, not on the day you need money.
- Make a small test withdrawal soon after your first deposit.
- Use local bank transfer or the original card for small sums.
- Keep wires for large amounts, where a fixed fee matters less.
- Save every confirmation for your own records and for tax.
Deposits and withdrawals are best planned together. Our Vantage minimum deposit guide lists funding methods, and the customer support guide explains how to chase a late payment.
Withdraw on a weekday morning in your bank's time zone. Requests made at weekends are accepted but may wait for the next working day.
Which method should you pick?
Cost and speed pull in different directions at Vantage. Crypto is the quickest, at zero to two business days, and carries a base rate of 3%. Local bank transfer and card refunds are free at Vantage's end and take one to three business days. International wire is the slowest and has a fixed 20-unit fee plus whatever the banks deduct.
For most traders in countries where Vantage offers local bank transfer, that is the sensible default. Use the card route when you funded by card, since the money goes back there first anyway. Reserve wires for large sums, and crypto for the occasions when a day or two really matters to you.
Small balances need extra care. The $30 minimum doesn't apply if your balance is lower, so you can always empty an account. A fixed wire fee on a tiny amount makes no sense, though, and neither does paying 3% when a free route exists.
Vantage's withdrawal rules are reasonable and clearly written. Two things catch people: the card-first refund order and the 3% on crypto. Know both before you choose how to deposit, because the way in decides the way out.
Lindiwe changed her portal password on a Thursday night and tried to withdraw R4,000 on Friday morning. The request was blocked by the 24-hour cool-off. She submitted it again on Saturday, it was processed on Monday, and the money reached her bank on Wednesday by local transfer with no fee from Vantage.
Frequently asked
Does Vantage charge withdrawal fees?
Not on most methods. International bank transfers cost 20 units of your account currency (150 HKD or 3,000 JPY), and cryptocurrency withdrawals have a base rate of 3% per order. Banks may deduct their own intermediary fees.
What is the minimum withdrawal at Vantage?
$30 or 3,000 JPY. If your account balance is lower than that, you can withdraw the full remaining balance.
How long does a Vantage withdrawal take?
Crypto takes 0 to 2 business days, cards, e-wallets and local bank transfers 1 to 3 business days, and international bank transfers up to 5 business days.
Why can't I withdraw after changing my password?
Vantage applies a cool-off period: 24 hours after a login password change and 48 hours after changing your email, phone number or security authenticator.
Can I withdraw while I have open positions?
Yes. Vantage allows it but recommends monitoring your margin level, since removing equity can lead to a margin call or stop out.
Can I withdraw to a different method from my deposit?
Card deposits are returned to the card first. After that, the remaining balance is paid through other methods you have used. Contact support if the method you want isn't listed.
