Both of these brokers changed their names recently, and both have questions hanging over them. IUX is cheaper. Elev8 charges no overnight fees. Neither is watched by a strict regulator, and honestly, neither is where a beginner should open their first account. Here is the short answer, and you may not like it.

Neither. If this is your first trading account, both of these brokers are a poor place to learn. Neither is watched by a strict regulator. Both changed their name in the last two years. Both have unresolved questions about them, and one of those questions is a criminal case in India.
If you have already decided on one of the two, read on, because the differences are real.
IUX is the cheaper broker, at about 0.2 pips against Elev8’s 0.7, and it hands you $30 to $50 in free credit to start. Elev8 charges no overnight fees on anything, which is worth real money if you hold trades for days, and its copy trading is better.
Three things to weigh.

Getting paid. Traders keep reporting withdrawal delays at IUX. Elev8’s support is a chatbot with no phone line for non-clients. Neither inspires confidence when your money is on the line.

Their histories. IUX launched in 2016 and rebranded in 2024. Elev8 is Octa renamed as of 9 February 2026, and India’s Enforcement Directorate has charged OctaFX and its founder with running an alleged pyramid scheme, which the company denies.

Leverage. IUX offers 1:3000 to anyone. Elev8 offers 1:1000. Both are hazards, not features.

Check these on each broker’s own site before you trust them. IUX lists its smallest deposit as $3, $10, $30 and $50 across different sites, which is itself worth noticing.

Why Neither Suits a Beginner

This is the section that matters, so take it before the features.

A regulator is the body that watches a broker and can punish it. The strict ones sit in Britain, Australia and Europe. They check the books, and they can force a broker to repay customers.

Neither of these brokers has one. IUX leans on the FSCA in South Africa plus offshore registration in St Vincent. Some sites claim it is watched by Australia’s regulator. That claim is disputed, so check for your own country before believing it. Elev8 is registered in Mauritius and the Comoros, both offshore, with no compensation scheme behind it.

So if either company failed or simply refused to pay you, there is no strong authority to appeal to.

Both also carry specific worries.

IUX: traders keep reporting that withdrawals are slow. Its published figures contradict each other across the web. Its support is weekdays only, so a problem on Saturday waits until Monday.

Elev8: it is Octa renamed, effective 9 February 2026. India’s Enforcement Directorate has filed charges against OctaFX and its founder, Pavel Prozorov, alleging a large-scale pyramid scheme, froze linked assets, and Prozorov was reported arrested in Spain. Octa denies all of it. These are allegations, not convictions, and no court has ruled. But the rebrand’s timing lines up with that legal pressure, and Octa’s European licence did not come across, leaving Elev8 fully offshore.

Neither of these facts means you will be cheated. Both mean you are trusting the company rather than a regulator, and both companies have given people reasons to ask questions.

If you are opening your first account, brokers watched by strict regulators exist and are not much more expensive. That is the honest advice.

[Your own test: request a small withdrawal from each and time it. With two offshore brokers, that single test is worth more than every table on this page.]

Trading Costs

IUX is the cheaper of the two, and clearly.

IUX charges about 0.2 pips on EUR/USD with no commission. Elev8 charges about 0.7. IUX also has a raw account where the gap drops to almost nothing and you pay about $3 a lot. Elev8 has no raw account at all.

Two things pull the other way. Elev8’s spreads on indices and oil test above the industry average, but its gold and crypto pricing comes out well. And IUX’s advertised 0.2 pips is measured in calm conditions. Reports on how it behaves during news are mixed.

Neither charges you for leaving your account idle.

Overnight Fees

This is Elev8’s genuine edge.

Most brokers charge a swap for holding a trade overnight, and over a week it mounts up. Elev8 charges nothing, on everything, without asking. One reviewer put the saving on a week-long EUR/USD position at over $60.

IUX offers swap-free conditions too, but they can be time-limited or restricted by account tier, so read the terms rather than assuming.

If you close every trade before bed, this does not apply to you. If you hold for days, it is the strongest argument on this page for either broker.

Free Credit

IUX hands out $30 to $50 no-deposit bonuses plus deposit matches. Elev8 does not.

Before that decides anything, understand how bonuses work. They carry trading volume conditions before you can withdraw anything tied to them, and those conditions usually require far more trading than a beginner expects. Free credit is a way to get you through the door, not free profit. The rules are where the real cost hides.

There is a wider pattern worth learning too. The brokers that can shower you with free credit are usually the ones nobody strict is watching. That is true of both of these, and it is why the offer exists at all.

Copy Trading

Elev8 wins this outright. It carries over Octa’s Master Trader system, which sits at the centre of the platform. IUX does not offer copy trading.

If copying experienced traders is why you are here, IUX cannot help you.

The usual warning applies. Copying someone does not remove risk, it moves it. You can lose money following another trader exactly as fast as trading yourself, and the returns on some profiles are advertising, not a promise.

Leverage

IUX offers 1:3000 to anyone, with no conditions. Elev8 offers 1:1000.

Neither number is a gift. Leverage grows your losses exactly as fast as your wins, and at 1:3000 a small move the wrong way empties your account in seconds.

Notice the pattern. Neither broker has a strict regulator, and both offer leverage that no strict regulator would permit. Those two facts are connected, and the connection is not in your favour.

Final Verdict

If you must pick one, pick based on how you trade.

Choose IUX if you want the lowest spread and free credit to test with, and you close your trades each day. It is cheaper by a distance and its TradingView charting is good. Accept that withdrawals may be slow and there is no copy trading.

Choose Elev8 if you hold trades for days, or if copy trading is the point. Its no-swap policy is worth real money, its platform reviews well, and testers found its pricing honest.

But the real answer is the one at the top. Neither of these belongs to a strict regulator. One has repeated withdrawal complaints. The other renamed itself while its founder faced pyramid scheme charges. If this is your first account and your money matters to you, there are better places to start, and they will not cost you much more.

IUX, by a wide margin. About 0.2 pips on EUR/USD against Elev8’s 0.7. IUX also has a raw account and Elev8 does not.

Neither is watched by a strict regulator. IUX has repeated withdrawal delay complaints and a disputed claim about Australian regulation. Elev8’s former parent faces unproven pyramid scheme allegations in India, which it denies.

Is Elev8 the same as Octa?

Yes. Elev8 is Octa renamed, effective 9 February 2026. Same company, systems and ownership.

Which is better for holding trades overnight?

Elev8, clearly. It charges nothing on anything, without you applying. IUX’s swap-free option may be limited by tier or time.

Does IUX offer copy trading?
