The copy trading services IC Markets connects to, October 2026.

Yes, IC Markets supports copy trading, through five routes. IC Social is its own mobile app, powered by Pelican Trading, for MetaTrader 4 accounts. cTrader Copy is built into cTrader. ZuluTrade and Signal Start are third-party copy services IC connects to, and Myfxbook Autotrade copies signal providers listed on Myfxbook. IC itself doesn't run a signal service.

Copying someone doesn't hand the risk to them. Every copied trade opens in your account, with your money, under your leverage. The services differ mainly in which platform they need, how providers are paid and how much control you keep.

IC Social

IC Social is IC's own social trading app, powered by Pelican Trading, on Android and iOS. You connect a live IC MetaTrader 4 account, then browse traders and communities, copy strategies, receive trade signals and chat with other users. IC highlights risk controls for copying, trader profiles showing monthly returns and markets traded, and an inverse-trade feature.

To use it you need a verified IC account with a live MT4 trading account, funded as normal; you then link the account inside the app with your login details.

cTrader Copy

cTrader Copy runs inside cTrader on IC's cTrader Raw account. Investors allocate funds to a strategy from a separate copy account, and copying is scaled to the provider's and your equity. Each strategy has a public profile with its history and analytics.

Strategy providers set their own fees: performance, management and volume fees. From 4 July 2026 the maximum performance fee rose from 30% to 40%, and a 30% platform commission applies to providers' fee earnings. IC says investors pay only the fees the provider sets, with no extra charges.

A 40% performance fee takes a large share of any profit. Check every fee on a strategy's profile, not just its returns, before you allocate money.

ZuluTrade, Signal Start and Myfxbook Autotrade

ZuluTrade is a separate company, Zulu Trade Ltd, and IC says trades generated through it are not IC's responsibility and aren't advice. It ranks signal providers with its ZuluRank algorithm, offers a ZuluGuard feature that monitors the traders you follow and steps in to protect your capital when needed, and has a simulation tool for testing before going live.

Signal Start is a hosted copy service: you connect your MetaTrader account, choose signals and start copying, with Myfxbook-standard account analysis. IC's Help Centre adds that it has partnered with Myfxbook to offer Autotrade, and that MT4 users can also subscribe to signals directly inside the platform.

How to choose someone to copy

  1. Look for at least a year of live history, not a few spectacular months.
  2. Check the maximum drawdown. A trader who once lost 60% can do it again with your money.
  3. Read the fees in full: performance, management and volume fees all come out of your result.
  4. Match the provider's account size and leverage to yours. Strategies built on large accounts can size badly on small ones.
  5. Start with a small allocation and add only after a few months of results you understand.

Copied trades also pay your own account's trading costs: the spread, any commission and overnight swaps on the IC account doing the copying. On a Raw Spread account that means $3.50 per lot per side on MetaTrader, or $3 per $100,000 traded on cTrader. A provider who opens dozens of trades a week can run up costs that swallow a modest return, so compare the number of trades with the profit they produced, not just the headline figure.

It also pays to watch how a provider behaves after a losing streak. Some cut size and wait; others double up to win the money back, which is how accounts are blown. A provider's trade history shows which kind they are, and so does the way their position size changes after a drawdown.

Copy trading is still leveraged CFD trading. Set your own account leverage low, because copied positions use it.

Becoming a strategy provider

Traders can also sit on the other side and publish their own strategy. On cTrader Copy, providers choose their fees: a performance fee of up to 40% since 4 July 2026, a management fee, a volume fee, or a mix. From the same date a 30% platform commission applies to the fees providers earn. IC notes that this commission is not calculated on investors' profits, allocated funds, copied volume or account balances, and investors pay no extra charge because of it.

IC Social also lets traders share signals, such as entry prices and times, with the community, and followers can track each profile's monthly returns, profitability and markets traded. Before publishing a strategy, build a public track record you would be happy for strangers to scrutinise; investors will judge you on drawdown as much as return.

Copy trading moves the decisions to someone else, never the risk. Treat every provider as a fund manager you are hiring: read the track record, the drawdowns and the fees, and size your allocation as if the next month could be their worst.

Illustrative case: Rodrigo, 45, Asunción

Rodrigo put $1,000 into a cTrader Copy strategy showing 90% returns over four months. The provider's history was short and its biggest drawdown was 35%. Six weeks later the account was down 30%. He withdrew, and now only copies strategies with at least a year of history and drawdowns below 20%, split across three providers with $300 each.
