Five live account types are on offer at IC Markets, now trading as IC. Standard charges no commission and builds its cost into a spread from 0.8 pips. Raw Spread shows spreads from 0.0 pips and adds a commission of $3.50 per lot each way on MetaTrader. A cTrader version of Raw Spread also connects to TradingView, and two new tiers, Raw Pro and Raw Pro+, cut the commission for balances of $5,000 and $100,000.

All of them use the same pricing feed, the same range of markets on each platform and the same 50% stop-out level. The differences come down to how you pay and where you trade. Here is each account as IC describes it on its account overview.

Raw Pro and Raw Pro+ were listed as "early access" on ic.com in October 2026. Leverage and minimums apply to IC's global company, Raw Trading Ltd; its Australian and EU companies cap retail leverage at 1:30.

Standard account: one price, no commission

The Standard account runs on MetaTrader 4 and 5 and charges no commission. IC's Help Centre explains that it marks up the spread it receives from its liquidity providers instead. On IC's published spread table, the Standard account's minimum spread sits 0.8 pips above the Raw account's on the major pairs and 1.0 pip above on minor and exotic pairs.

That simplicity is the appeal. Each trade's cost is the spread you see on the screen, which is easier to judge for someone new to commission maths. Price is the trade-off: for a trader who opens several lots a day, a 0.8-pip markup usually costs more than the Raw commission.

Raw Spread account: the one most active traders pick

The Raw Spread account passes on the interbank spread from IC's pool of more than 25 liquidity providers and charges $3.50 per standard lot on each side, $7 per round turn. IC says its average EUR/USD spread on this account is 0.1 pip. The MetaTrader servers sit in Equinix NY4 in New York, and IC describes the account as built for day traders, scalpers and expert advisors.

Commission scales with trade size. A 0.10 lot costs $0.35 each way and a 0.01 lot $0.035, according to the Help Centre. On MT4 the full round-turn commission is charged when the trade opens; on MT5 it is charged per side.

Standard vs Raw Spread: which costs less?

A worked example on one standard lot of EUR/USD, where a pip is worth $10, shows the gap. On Raw Spread, IC's 0.1-pip average spread costs $1 and the commission $7, so about $8 in total. With Standard, the markup alone is 0.8 pips, or $8, before the underlying raw spread is added, so the all-in cost lands a little above Raw. The difference is small per trade and adds up with volume.

Raw Spread on cTrader and TradingView

The cTrader Raw Spread account uses the same raw pricing but different plumbing. Commission is $3 per side per $100,000 traded, converted into your account currency, rather than a flat fee per lot. Servers are in London (LD5), the order limit rises to 2,000, and algorithmic traders write in C# through cTrader Algo instead of MQL.

This is also the account that connects to TradingView. IC's integration runs through cTrader, so a trader who wants to place orders from TradingView charts needs this account. The drawbacks are fewer instruments (121 against 2,250 on MetaTrader) and lower maximum leverage of 1:1000.

Raw Pro and Raw Pro+: lower commission for larger balances

Two MetaTrader accounts appeared on ic.com in 2026 marked "new" and "early access". Raw Pro cuts commission to $1.50 per side ($3 per round turn) for a $5,000 minimum deposit. Its sibling Raw Pro+ goes further, to $1.00 per side ($2 per round turn), with a $100,000 minimum. Spreads, leverage, order limits and instruments match the Raw Spread account.

For a trader who already keeps $5,000 or more at IC and trades regularly, the saving is real: $4 per lot compared with Raw Spread. Anyone below that balance has no reason to stretch; the lower commission never makes up for over-funding an account you can't afford to lose.

Which IC Markets account should you choose?

  • New to trading, small balance: Standard. One number to watch, no commission to calculate. Move to Raw once you trade more than a few lots a week.
  • Active manual trader or EA user on MetaTrader: Raw Spread. The commission is lower than the Standard markup for most trades.
  • TradingView or cTrader user: Raw Spread (cTrader). It is the only IC account that trades from TradingView.
  • Balance above $5,000, trading often: Raw Pro, while it is in early access. Above $100,000, Raw Pro+.
Pick the platform first and the pricing second. Most traders who switch accounts at IC do it because they chose Standard for simplicity and then found the Raw commission cheaper once they traded more. Try both on demo for a week and compare the costs in your own history.
